Reading the handful of negative reviews is bizarre because they sound nothing like the Dr. Poggi I know. After losing a substantial amount of weight, I knew I wanted all of the typical reconstructive procedures (lower body lift, thigh lift, and arm lift), as well as a lower facelift. I spent hours researching surgeons before my initial consultation and chose Dr. Poggi primarily because his reviews were so much stronger than others I considered. My first surgery with him was two years ago, and my most recent was just three months ago, so I have had the opportunity to work with him and his team over an extended period of time. I can say that the many positive reviews I read at the beginning were right, but it goes beyond that. Over the last two years, several physicians have told me he has an excellent reputation, and one even sent her own mother to him for breast reconstruction. Most telling, my gynecologist—who obviously sees it all—comments at every appointment about how good my scars look and compares them favorably to patients she has seen with what she calls “train track” scars. Dr. Poggi has a big personality, which I love. He is reassuring, hilarious, completely honest, and genuinely cares about his patients. I even called him over the weekend with a concern shortly after surgery, and he was kind and reassuring even though it turned out to be nothing. I also have to mention his nurses, Carly and Celeste. They are incredibly kind, competent, and caring. They have both been with Dr. Poggi for a long time, and between that and their interactions with him, it is clear they work well together and genuinely enjoy what they do. Some medical offices have a toxic or stressful atmosphere, but not this one. For me, that is an important part of trusting my medical team. If you are hesitant about reconstructive surgery or feel like you have not lost enough weight yet, I will say this: I did not truly feel like I had lost the weight until after my lower body lift. I was shocked by how flat Dr. Poggi was able to make my stomach, even though I was still about 50 pounds heavier than I had originally hoped to be when I started my weight-loss journey. It is hard to put into words how grateful I am for Dr. Poggi. I am so much happier and more confident now. Dr. Poggi and his team have truly changed my life.

Dr. Poggi, the nurse, NP, and front office staff are kind, informative, and make every procedure and recovery as smooth as possible. I’m so happy with results from my breast surgery!!! After having a lumpectomy & radiation my breasts were severely disproportionate. From the consult to the final visit Dr Poggi was wonderful. Kendra was always kind when checking me in and made sure to remind me of my appointments. It’s obvious the whole team likes each other and is passionate about their work. Armed with a very good recommendation and a thorough all questions answered first consultation I chose Dr. Poggi to perform my belt lipectomy in November 2016. My first impression was that he was honest and took my concerns seriously. As I sat across from him I thought this man is someone I can trust. He did not disappoint and I am blown away by the results. He is an excellent surgeon and a true artist in the world of plastic surgery. I would go to him again if I were to consider another procedure. His nurse Celeste and entire staff are genuine, accessible and professional. He gave me my body back and I am so grateful!
