It's taken me months to write this review because I couldn't find words big enough to express how grateful I am to have worked with Dr. Eidelson. I first spoke with her last summer about a breast reduction. From our very first conversation, she was completely transparent: realistic about sizing, scarring, and healing time, honest about risks and benefits, and clear about what she thought was possible for my case. When I told her my insurance was changing at the end of the year, she and her office went out of their way to schedule the surgery in time. That responsiveness set the tone for everything that followed. Dr. Eidelson is one of the few fellowship-trained gender-affirming surgeons in the country, and that framework is what made this surgery accessible to me. I didn't feel at home in my body, and she met me exactly where I was without judgment, without making me justify myself, with humor and warmth. For anyone in the queer community looking for a surgeon who is genuinely safe and genuinely skilled: she is both. The surgery itself went perfectly. I expected relief from back pain. I expected my body to feel more like mine. What I did not expect was to love my breasts; that was a complete and joyful surprise. What also surprised me was how present Dr. E stayed throughout my recovery. She gave me her phone number and told me to text anytime, and she meant it. She responded quickly, scheduled follow-ups herself when she thought I needed them, and saw me for additional appointments at no charge. I have never felt so taken care of by a doctor. Beyond being an excellent surgeon, she is just a genuinely lovely human being — funny, warm, real. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
