Dr. Song was wonderful. She communicated well. She was efficient and removed a few growths right there in clinic. I experienced no pain.

I do not belong to kaiser. Went here because my doctor said the spots I have were nothing and my friend works for kaiser and told me they do cosmetics. When I called in the girl on the phone was so nice and helpful, she let me ramble on and on. Finally she told me there was a wait list. Got a call back months later. Ended up booking an appointment but didn't have any services. The treatment recommended was not what I thought I would need. Still 150 well spent to get reassurance and the information I need just in case I decide to have something done. Didn't feel pressured to do anything and very nice staff start to finish.

Thank you KP Cosmetics! The absolute most phenomenal customer service! If you are considering coming here for laser treatment, don’t risk going anywhere else. Kaiser Park Shadelands provides first-rate care, remarkably kind genuine service, and world class clinical treatment. As a mixed race person I was nervous about getting laser treatment at discount service locations, when my cousin told me about the superior clinical care of Kaiser Park Shadelands. I went and I was NOT disappointed. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Shermane is an experienced nurse with outstanding patient care. I’ve also come to this location for skincare consultations and the aesthetician Andrea was knowledgeable, compassionate, and proficient in her analysis. It felt like she genuinely cared about the health of my skin and was not just trying to lure me in with expensive unnecessary services. My encounters with staff here have always been delightful. I appreciate the competence and compassion of the medical professional I have interacted with.

I am beyond shocked and disappointed by my experience at the Kaiser Walnut Creek Dermatology Clinic. I originally saw my family doctor for a few dark spots on my face. He took photos and referred me to Dermatology for removal, explaining that it would be an out-of-pocket expense. Later, the scheduling line called and quoted me $400 for treatment (removal of up to 15 spots). I agreed and scheduled the appointment, expecting that the visit would be for the actual procedure. When I arrived, a nurse told me she wasn’t sure she could treat me and needed to consult Dr. Michael. The doctor then came in and said he wasn’t sure whether to use electricity or laser, and offered to refer me elsewhere or do a small test area in two hours. Since I didn’t have that much time, I said I’d come back another day. To my surprise, they handed me a $150 bill — for what they called a “consultation.” I was never informed there would be a separate consultation fee, and I was under the clear impression that I was attending a treatment appointment, not a consultation. The nurse never mentioned that a brief 5-minute discussion would cost extra. When I questioned the charge, the manager simply repeated that “this is our protocol.” This experience felt like a rip-off and left me feeling completely misled. It’s unacceptable for a medical facility — especially one as large as Kaiser — to have such poor communication and surprise billing practices. I paid the $150, but I left feeling deeply frustrated and disappointed. I hope Kaiser reviews its communication policies and ensures patients are given clear, honest information about charges before appointments.
