First of all, I’d like to thank Dr. Tang for pressing to get my surgery done in enough time. I had an hiatal Hernia surgery done two days ago my body is taking a while to go back to normal normal enough for me to go home, but I was deathly afraid of staying here overnight due to the bad reviews however, being here with such a length time on the sixth floor, I have had the best conversations the Best care and the most considerate team working day and night to make sure that I can walk eat drink and make sure I can go home on time again for Gastro as a surgeon Dr. Tang is the best. He’s very informative and let you know how everything’s is going every step of the way his assistant Brianna is also amazing and will make sure that you’re at your appointment and all times And she’s also very considerate towards me as to my time window. I had in place to be able and available to have the surgery Then the day of surgery, the surgical team was super informative, kind and walked me through every part of what was going to happen then getting put into a room where the first friendly face that I saw was Vincent on the sixth floor, and then followed by Damon, Merlin, Liz Faith, and The physical therapy team to help me get walking calling to get a good meal plan. They brought me up just what I wanted. I have been in six different states in this wonderful United States of America and this is the best care I’ve received. I’ve received in a hospital all my life I strongly suggest you ask a lot of questions so you feel comfortable and then give them a chance in your care the next time you’re ready to get a surgery I can tell you my experience has been phenomenal. Thanks again to Merlin Damon and Vincent for all the that I received and the laugh’s five stars.💪🏽👍🤓😷🤕 Ok I’m Back! I had some issues Swallowing after my surgery, Dr Tang was kind and attentive, My Nurses and Aides were so kind and helpful. Day one Daphne and Issy we warm and welcoming emotionally held my hand as I was transferred from another facility. Day Two Woke up to a familiar Face one of the Aides Rissa cane in with a big smile. So far so good! I’ll post my lat review when I’m discharged.

I went to the lab on Saturday March 1st to get a yearly bloodwork draw. The young man was very good at his job and I was very impressed by his skills. I have a lot of problems getting my blood drawn so they have to take it from my hands...he was fantastic! Probably the best experience I have had in a long time!

I am not sure why I always come back to this ER knowing that my previous experiences were all bad. This was the first time I’ve gone to the ER by myself as a young woman and I felt very rushed, dismissed and the nursing staff was very very rude. I was having symptoms of a viral infection, unbearable pain and I couldn’t sleep, eat anything or drink anything. I made the decision at 1am to drive to this ER all while the roads are bad and slick from the snow storm last night. When I got there I checked in and was pretty much called back within a few minutes. As one of the male nurses walked me back to my room he started asking what’s going on, personally I like to explain things from the beginning so I started telling him about things from a few days ago, very rudely and dismissively he cuts me off “- NO, right now what’s going on right now” I felt as if that was very rude because I’m getting to that point! I asked about an IV drip because I haven’t ate or drank in over 30+ hours and very rudely and dismissively again “- NO you haven’t been throwing up for the last 24 hours” um there’s probably nothing in my stomach to throw up I haven’t ate?! I was probably here for less than a hour and a half in total and honestly I would have never left the house because I could have just waited until the morning and gone to urgent care and did the exact same thing. I more specifically wanted to go here because I thought there would have an IV drip but when I asked a second nurse that helped me she said “we already have your discharge papers and we don’t even have an IV to do that” is this not a hospital? how do you know have medical supplies? Overall I will no longer be returning here i don’t care if this is the only ER open i would rather sit and wait out the pain and be treated somewhere else.

Hard pass on this hospital!!!! Pros: the nurse my son had was friendly, helpful and professional. He is the only reason for the 1 star. Cons: Place needs serious updating! Everyone was complaining about the wait time for the 3 elevators. Some people ended up taking the stairs out of frustration due to the long wait. My sons room was very outdated. There was NO BATHROOM in the room....just a toilet with a lousy curtain which gave him.NO PRIVACY!! The chair I sat in was old, and beat up. The hospital bed was extremely uncomfortable (per my son). The FOOD was DISGUSTING and INEDIBLE!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND UTMC to anyone I know.

My mom is in the Gi clinic here, there have been so many miscommunications/ ignored questions and concerns. Anyone who’s touched my mom’s file knows she’s incredibly high risk. She needs more care than most patients. That was known prior to taking her on as a client. I’m not happy with how the clinic is “ helping”. Shoving us back to surgery And dermatology when there is no rash or surgical need is just rude. Do your job
