Excellent service and patient care. The Doctor took good care of me. Minimal pain quick recovery. Going to Sharp hospital was a great experience. Again they took good care of me, explained everything to me. A very clean environment and beyond kind.

Dr. Chao explained the options to me very well. This was my first meeting with him. I feel comfortable with him.

This was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences I have ever had with a medical office. From the lady at the front desk, to the X-ray tech that did my imaging and the lady who fitted me for a splint, and last but certainly not least Dr. James Chao, I was treated with the utmost respect and care at my appointment. The lady who did my X-ray was very friendly and easy to talk to...she was the highlight of my morning with her friendliness and genuine caring attitude. Dr. Chao was very nice, explained everything to me in great detail, listened to my concerns and answered my questions thoroughly and made sure I understood the differences and advantages, or any possible disadvantages to my treatment options. This place is outstanding! This should be the model of how a medical office operates!

Dr. Chao is an excellent surgeon. He fixed three of my trigger fingers. The only negative was in scheduling my surgery. The office postponed once and almost twice. You need to stay on top of your surgery date. All in all went well.if the scheduling would have gone smoothly, I would have given them a 5.

December 3, 2024 James Chao MD transected my median nerve of my right dominant hand during routine endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery. My hand will never be the same. This surgical error has affected my professional life as a Nurse Practitioner as well as my home life as a wife and grandmother. I would not recommend this MD for hand surgery.
