I've been a patient at the Eye Institute for many years (working with wonderful Dr. Apter), and this was my first time with Dr. Mohadjer and her team on a potentially specialized procedure. She and her team were pleasant, knowledgeable, answered questions clearly and thoroughly, and generally left me feeling valued and in the care of a highly professional and competent team.

The whole team is kind, knowledgeable and consistent. The skin care line was well thought out and has helped address all my skin issues. Dark spots, texture and tone have improved significantly. Thank you, Dr JM!

If 10 stars were available to give Dr. Mohadjer she definitely get them from me. She is truly a precious person, awesome doctor and cares about her patients. She has a wonderful team that works alongside her and you feel very comfortable visiting the office. Thank you!

It has taken me 3+ years to write a review on Dr Mohadjer’s work. Unfortunately, this is how devastating my experience was. Although technically, Dr Mohadjer is a highly intelligent and skilled aesthetic surgeon, her disregard for my aftercare of a blepharoplasty and eyebrow lift was negligent and paltry, at best. The medical report of our surgery during her time at The Eye Institute of West Florida was also inaccurate, with names on the report of certain staff present and others, not. When I sent the office photos of what I detected as an eyelid/eybrow infection a few weeks after the surgery, Dr. Mohadjer immediately assumed the cause and blamed me for it, with no curiosity or concern for my well-being. Dr Mohadjer prescribed me heavy meds with severe side effects that ultimately had nothing to do with the actual problem. When I finally was able to get an appointment with her a few weeks later, she said it looked as if everything was healing and I could proceed with scar cream the following week. I insisted we get some tests to ascertain what was going on medically. 10 days later, after not hearing from the office, and the infection not improving, I called the office, only to learn that Dr Mohadjer had left the Eye Institute of West Florida and my report was handed over to another doctor who wasn’t a specialist in her area. It took me several more weeks to treat the infection with the proper medication. And, because so much time had lapsed between the surgery and my eyelids/brows healing, I have a scar over my right eye that no cream can dissipate. It’s not severe but definitely obvious in certain photos. I don’t doubt for a moment the wonderful experiences other patients have had with Dr. Mohadjer and I speak for only my experience. Again, she is a highly intelligent and impressive technical surgeon. However, on behalf of patients’ voices and rights, I believe the she needs to work on her empathy and interpersonal skills, and respect and care for her patients, even in unforeseen or more challenging moments.

I was recommended to this practice by my eye doctor but I would not recommend them to anyone. Beware of unplanned costs when going to this practice. I was sold supplements for my eye that I didn't need considering the supplements are similar to fish oil tablets which I already had at home - the tablets were sold to me as some unique supplement that could cure my issue. Then when I received my bill I noticed that I was charged for the photographs taken during my visit. Mind you, I've never had any doctor take photographs of me in my life nor did I request it. When I called to dispute the charge I was told 2 different stories by two different people. One said it was a requirement by my insurance. I called my insurance and they confirmed that they have no such requirement. I had to call the practice back again so that they could remove the charge instead of doing it the first time I asked. Almost 2 months later and the issue that I visited the practice for still persists. Since I do not trust this practice I will not be returning and I now have to find a new doctor to help me with my issue. Don't waste your money/time.
