Dr. Sacks and his team are the best! They took great care of me during all of my surgeries. The lymph node transfer was a huge success for my lymphadema. When I was feeling a little scared before my last surgery, Dr. Sacks took the time to talk to me and tell me his team is there and everything will be fine. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Sacks is a wonderful surgeon and, just as important to me, has a great bedside manner. He is straightforward, easy to talk to, compassionate and adds humor where appropriate. He performed a lumpectomy with lift on me 2.5 years ago and now I need a mastectomy with reconstruction. He has made this recurrence easier to face knowing that he is on my team.

I would not recommend, especially if you’re a cancer patient. My experience was dehumanizing. Following surgery, I awakened to radiated skin, stitched to the breast that had no cancer and was completely perfect in the tissues expander. I have been seen by multiple surgeons who have informed me that this is not practice and is unheard of. I’m seeing a respectable surgeon outside of the State of Missouri who can repair all of damage that “Doctor” Sacks and his “Team” inflicted upon my body. Dr Sacks and his team were extremely negligent and unprofessional. I have filed a complaint with ethics. The allegations that were made against me alone without a shred of evidence were enough for the ethics complaint, along with the multiple infections after each visit, an abscess that he ignored until it burst, but following multiple appointments concerning the radiated skin used on the healthy breast was the final straw for me. You should not ever use surgeon. I am very lucky to be alive right now. No thanks to this guy.

I had the worst experience of my life with Dr. Sacks. I did my research and I was told he was the best. He accidentally nicked my artery. I was rushed to the hospital for internal bleeding and blood clots. I had to have 2 blood transfusions. It took 3 days for Dr. Sacks to finally visit me in the hospital. He tried to say it was my fault for the internal bleeding and couldn’t admit he was at wrong. Even though I had 3 surgeons who told me that he nicked my artery. Then it took another 2 days for him to finally do another surgery to fix his mistakes. He acted like all was well at the end because I didn’t die on the table and I should move on from the emotional, physical, and mental trauma. I wished it got better but it did not…his team pulled out my drains too soon and they had to send me to a specialist team to fix their mistakes. I was told by the specialist team that Dr. Sacks should have sent me to them after my surgery to be monitored but never did. Also, Dr. Sacks gave the specialist team wrong information stating I was pregnant and neglected to mention I had 2 surgeries instead of one. For the record I was not pregnant. Also, the results were awful. It too embarrassing to post pictures of his hack job. I’m happy if others had better experiences, but mine was a living nightmare and it continues. I understand people make mistakes, but not when it’s someone’s life on their hands. And doctors should never lie and try to brush it under the rug like nothing happened. A real honorable person would own their mistakes and fix the situation. The weak ones will throw others under the bus. I could have forgiven if he admitted he was at wrong in the beginning and wanted to make amends. But sadly, he wasn’t honorable.

I would not recommend Dr Sacks for tummy tuck surgery after massive weight loss. My entire ordeal from consultation to now 8 months post op has below average on the standard of care. He seen me one time for a consultation 10mons prior to my surgery for a consultation, did no pre-op appt, then he has only personally seen me once since surgery. I have made it extremely clear that I have been unhappy with my results from day one, and no one cares, excuses are made for why it looks the way it does. Of course you pay for everything completely all up front so no need to make sure you are happy with the end results. Please if you have a choice, go anywhere else! I would upload pics but I’m too embarrassed, and all it has done is ruin my mental health for the last 8months.
