I am so highly impressed with Dr. Schmitt at VM. I had a consultation for DIEP flap. As someone in a large body I knew most surgeons would have a hard no for my body size. Dr. Schmitt and his team treated me like an actual human being, not a number. They listened to all of my concerns, answered all my questions, and even showed me photos of DIEP reconstruction on bodies like mine. He was more than happy to perform a DIEP on me when the time comes. I highly recommend Dr. Schmitt.

Dr. Schmitt and his staff are outstanding. They have provided me with excellent care since my diagnosis of very early breast cancer and took such good care of me during and after two surgeries so far. He is very smart, kind, compassionate, thorough, and responsive. I feel I have built a great and trusting relationship with him and his staff. Dr Schmitt is a fantastic surgeon! There are not enough Stars here as he’s a 10 plus! Dr Schmitt gave me options for my recent breast reconstruction surgery after my breast cancer. He educated me and answered my questions. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is overall just a wonderful person. I would highly recommend Dr Schmitt for any plastic surgery needs.

The professionalism in Dr Schmitt's practice is Excellent! I've been in the medical field for over 40 years. Dr. Schmitt's nurse Sarah is a bright light in my otherwise very bleak diagnosis. My hearing went from profoundly doomed to much better! And I expect it will get even better as I follow the treatment plan. He performs miracles! But be diligent in following his instructions as he really does know what he is doing!

I can't compliment him enough about the effort that he puts in to care for his patient. I was in the ER and Dr. Schmitt was the plastic surgeon on call. Though busy with his own patients and surgeries, he took time to see me and patched me up. I can't thank him enough!!!
