Dr. Schlenker performed cataract surgery on my eye and I was very pleased with the care and compassion she showed me. She explained everything thoroughly and was very patient with me, a senior citizen. I’m VERY glad she was a locum in the Opthalmologist’s office. Thank you so much, Dr. Schlenker, for an outstanding surgery and recovery experience related to my recent hand (palm) procedure. At our first meeting, you very clearly described the surgery and I felt very comfortable and confident about the process. The day of surgery, your pre-surgery team was amazing ~ from a friendly “welcome” at check-in, continuing with care, kindness and smiles along the way. It was nice to have a pre-surgery conversation with you (and the attending anesthesiologist) in the pre-op. area. Any pre-surgery jitters I might have had were not present at all, as I knew I was in excellent hands. The pre-op. nursing team kept me apprised of when surgery would begin, and they checked in on me in the pre-op. area on a regular basis; I also appreciated the positivity that was ever-present. Your surgery techniques are A+! The actual incision site is smaller than I expected and the healing process went very well. I did not experience any pain or discomfort following surgery, and the surgery site has healed beautifully. Your post-op. nursing and PA team are also so wonderful! Now, just about a month following surgery, my incision site has nearly vanished. I am thrilled to now return (pain-free) to springtime gardening! Wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Schlenker and his amazing team at VM Plastic Surgery. I was given a scary diagnosis on a late Monday afternoon, and was seen in consultation and a curative procerdure by Tuesday afternoon...less than 24 hr turnaround! Dealing with the staff was a dream, from talking with compassionate nurse Jenna to the talented scheduler Julie...everything fell into place. Dr. Schlenker is a caring, talented and thorough plastic & reconstructive surgeon. Highly recommend! Thank you so much for the white-glove service!
