Dr. Schmidek was an absolutely amazing surgeon. I am so happy with my results and so thankful I went to her! I have wanted a reduction for so long and I’m so thankful that she was my surgeon. She did such a great job. She explained everything thoroughly and helped make me less anxious and the results are so aesthetically pleasing. A life changing procedure, I highly recommend.

This was my first surgery and Dr. Schmidek/her team made the process easy. She was personable, asked a lot of questions about my expectations, and communicated clearly what was possible and what to expect. It's been less than a week, so I'm still healing, but she did a great job with the surgery itself and is obviously a very skilled surgeon. All of the folks in her office are very kind. 10/10 experience

Just had my breast reduction by Dr. Schmidek and I could not be happier with her work. She was direct and explained my options during pre op. She explained what insurance would need and what the chances of coverage were. She walked me through the procedure and calmed me when my nerves spiked the day of the surgery. Her calm confidence gave me confidence. My recovery has been so much easier than I anticipated and the results are so aesthetically pleasing, I’m almost shocked. I’ve thought about this procedure for nearly 20 years and I’m so glad I did it with Dr. Schmidek. If you’re considering a breast reduction, I highly recommend her! Bonus if you can have your surgery at the Bellevue location. It was a great facility.

I recently underwent breast reduction surgery with Dr. Schmidek and couldn't be happier with the results. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Schmidek took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, addressing all my concerns and ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. She is understanding, professional, and attentive. Her team and all the staff who assisted with the procedure are also exceptional and made sure I was taken care of throughout the process. From long referral processing times (1.5 months to process a referral, not to get an appointment--she has lots of appointment availability), to scheduling mix ups, to a cold, uncaring, and unprofessional consultation... just awful. Didn't leave the room to let me put a gown on. I'm now months behind on finding a medical provider. I wouldn't recommend her to women who aren't slim. Her phone staff are kind and informative and Virginia Mason staff are helpful and kind.
