Santa Clarita Pediatrics

Thank you Santa Clarita Pediatrics for caring for my kids for nearly a decade. We mainly see Dr. Grino but also see Dr. Yen and the other doctors on occasion for unexpected visits when the kiddos aren’t feeling their best. We’ve gone for regular check ups, vaccinations, sick visits, and even ear piercings. I appreciate their willingness to listen to my concerns as well as their bedside manner towards their patients, my kids. Their assessments are always thorough and their recommendations are based on evidenced based practice: which I recognize as a nurse for XX years. I can only speak from my experience and not others, but regarding the rest of the office staff, I have a great rapport with them. The only issue that comes to mind is when my job decided to switch insurances on us mid year. The office staff did all the legwork making sure I was still being covered under my new insurance even when my new IDs were still not updated with the new insurance. All things being said, my frustration lied with my work and not the office staff. I recommended all my friends who had kids after me to check out Santa Clarita Pediatrics. I literally trust them with my kids.

Dr. Yen and his entire office have been truly wonderful with our newborn. We highly recommend them, they are the best pediatricians in Santa Clarita.

I’ve been bringing my children to this office for the past 5 years and have always appreciated the care provided. Unfortunately, today I arrived late to one of my child’s routine appointments due to an unexpected freeway accident while driving from AV. Despite explaining the situation, we were not accommodated. I understand the importance of staying on schedule, but given our long-standing relationship and the circumstances, I was disappointed that there was no flexibility or effort to assist us. I hope in the future there can be more understanding for situations that are truly beyond a parent’s control

Any other review before this review discussing SEPARATING VACCINES is old & obsolete information. We have a 3-month old child that was supposed to start. This office WILL NOT SEPARATE vaccines into a spread-out schedule (even though their release form says "alternate vaccine schedules can be arranged with the Doctor"). We were told this decision was made together with the Office Manager, the other doctors, and the owner. They seem to be ok with small children getting reactions to vaccines and not knowing which vaccine caused the reaction. I didn't care for the Doctor as well... not welcoming, no happy small child personality to make them feel comfortable in the office... just not a place for small children. Bizarre that the Office Manager is even consulted on a medical decision. 0/10... if I could put a negative score I would. Avoid this place.

I called and asked if they could see my 10 months old daughter. The front office told me to come in at 2:45pm same day. I show up and the front office told me they are only taking patients 6months and younger. This would have been nice to be said over the phone. The staff needs more training. Please don’t tell people to show up for an appointment if that’s not true.
