One year later and the results are flawless. Cartilage was taken from my rib and placed into my nose to give me the best possible outcome which today was flawless work. I’m able to live a better life because of Bay Area Esthetics Dr. Pourtaheri. My injury to my face was from abuse as a child by a foster guardian something I lived with constantly as a reminder of the hard times but BAE definitely gave me strength to move past the hurt a new outlook on life and now the constant reminder is gone no more questions or reminders. A million miles of gratitude Dr. Pourtaheri one of a kindest surgeons with an education resume most don’t come close to. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Pourtaheri. The moment you walk in his office you feel welcome. He took the time to explain to me step-by-step the surgical procedure, and he answered all of my questions and concerns before and after the procedure. I felt really listened to and very well taken care of. The results of the surgery are just amazing! He is a gifted surgeon, an incredible medical professional and a very kind person. I highly recommend Dr. Pourtaheri !

I was referred to Bay Area Esthetics from my primary care physician, for a infection on my finger. The very minute i met Dr. Pourtaheri, i could tell he put the personal well being of his patients before anything else. He was knowledgeable, caring, and was generally concerned with my well being and comfort. He was able to on the same visit conduct a treatment that could start the healing process on my finger. I could tell he was a very different Dr. than i was used to. From my discussions with him, It was apparent he used his skills to heal and care for his patients, and that is his primary focus. His staff, (Dane to mention one) is a pleasure to interact with, and they take the time to reach out with any concerns or questions you may have. Fantastic group of people, and I highly recommend.

WARNING: Dr. Pourtaheri Left Me Botched - Learn from my Costly Mistake! If you're considering plastic surgery, please read my experience with Dr. Navid Pourtaheri of Bay Area Esthetics Plastic Surgery before making any decisions. Trusting him was the worst decision I've ever made, and I don't want anyone else to suffer the same fate. I paid over $20k for what was promised to be a transformative V-line jaw surgery, lip lift, and genioplasty. From the outset, Dr. Pourtaheri misled me about recovery times and expectations. Almost a year later, I am left with the following: - Unsightly chin indents and asymmetry that defeat the entire purpose of the surgeries. - Muscle detachment in the jaw area requiring additional surgery to correct — made worse by poorly placed filler. This caused a vertical line on my face and a visible hole where muscle was removed on one side. This procedure was recommended by Dr. Pourtaheri the day of surgery, while I was already out of sorts, with no meaningful discussion of the implications. - Poorly placed, conspicuous stitches on my nose. - A visible, poorly placed lip scar that CO2 treatments failed to improve. - A botched, uneven lip lift — for which Dr. Pourtaheri shifted blame onto me, despite being aware of previous fat injections in the area. - Attempted free corrections including filler, which was placed poorly and left lumpy. I initially believed in Dr. Pourtaheri's good intentions. I no longer do. If you are considering cosmetic surgery, please seek out a qualified, reputable surgeon. You deserve better. UPDATE: In response to their reply — I walked into this office without any disfigurements. Every issue I have described occurred as a direct result of Dr. Pourtaheri's work. Rather than address a single specific complaint I raised — the muscle detachment, the asymmetry, the misplaced stitches, the uneven lip lift — they have chosen to attack my character and insult my "mental health" publicly. That is not a medical response; it is a deflection tactic designed to discredit me. Speaking of "bullying"... What they also failed to mention is that Dr. Pourtaheri recommended removing my jaw muscle moments before I went under anesthesia, with no meaningful discussion of the implications. He also failed to re-attach my mentalis muscles. These are not the actions of a careful, competent surgeon. Yes, I asked for his mistakes to be corrected — by him, for free, because he made them. In hindsight, that was naive. He clearly was not capable of fixing them, or he would have done them correctly the first time. Leaving an honest account of my experience is not bullying. It is exactly what reviews are for. I have no agenda other than making sure no one else goes through what I have been through.

I was hoping for a good experience but I was met with horrible service and slight racism. I felt that I was not treated accordingly. I am extremely disappointed and I would never recommend anyone to come here.
