I have a rare mitochondrial disease called CPEO (Chronic Progressive External Ophthalmoplegia) which is causing me to lose muscle function in my eyes and face among other things. I was so depressed. I cried often and lamented to my husband about this evil disease. I was scared because my eyelids were closing and I couldn’t see very well. I was often tripping and looking like I was drugged. When I first went to him, Dr. Patel delayed the surgery because of active corneal scarring from not being able to keep my eyes closed during sleep. He gave me six months to heal the cornea. I am so thankful that he didn’t just jump into it because that would have cause permanent vision loss. He knows his stuff! He did five or six different procedures in both eyes. It was very involved and the recuperation was really rough. But with his continued reassurance, I tried not to worry and concentrated on healing. Here we are, four months later, the results are amazing! I can see! He really is so skilled and I am so very thankful for him! I know I will have to have this surgery again and I would NEVER consider going to anyone else! Thank you, thank you Dr. Patel!

It's been about a year since I had my lower eyelid surgery. Results are fantastic. Dr. Patel is amazing. He is compassionate and caring. He treats his patients like family.

I'm a 62 yo man. I had a partial hammock lift done 4 months ago by Dr. Patel. This procedure was on my lower eyelids and upper cheeks and vastly improved heavy eye bags that had really started bothering me (made me look tired all the time). One month ago, my upper eyelids were done by my medical provider (no cost) as a vision improvement. The cost of the hammock lift was more than fair, IMO, and after a couple of weeks of initial healing, I was receiving many compliments on the change. Looking at an old driver's license and other pics taken approximately 8-10 years ago, I honestly look like I did back then, and this was before the upper eyelid lift! Dr. Patel says the heavy bags will not return. I am very happy with Dr. Patel's skills and judgement and the value of this work. He's very easy to talk with. I am continuing to get some in-office laser treatments to improve collagen and these followup procedures were included in my initial surgical fee. I 100% recommend Dr Patel!

It has been a year since my eyelid surgery and I have been so happy with the outcome. Dr. Patel was so great to listen to me when I came for my consult. He shared my options and let me decide what level of eyelid surgery I desired. The surgical experience was so smooth and before we knew it we were headed home. I felt well cared for from the beginning to the end. And my end result has been better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Dr. Patel.

I have been going to Dr. Patel since I was 13 years old, and I'm now 37! He is amazing! I have gone to him for a few different Blepharoplasty surgeries to correct my eyelid. The reason why I had these surgeries is because I had tumor growths forming around my ocular, and they were growing because I have this disorder called 'Neurofibromatosis.' Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable with my disorder. He’s very understanding and I trust him. He has helped my confidence so much! Since I knew I was in good hands. I recently went to him in July 2024 for a facelift and again he helps my confidence! Another thing I forgot to mention, He will always tell you exactly what to expect so you know what you’re getting into. I promise that he will be the best doctor you’ve ever been to!
