Well, let’s just start off by saying that I can’t relate with any of these negative reviews. When I found out I was pregnant, i searched high and low for an OB/GYN. When I did my research and asked around to my mom friends and family members, almost everyone mentioned Dr. Augusts office., which I’m happy I fell through with. I had the most amazing experience/treatment for prenatal and post natal care!! EVERY SINGLE staff member there is amazing and are all very sweet (I actually looked forward to going to my visits 🤣). Whatever questions or requests I had/made to whomever, they were granted/answered quickly! As for Dr. August- she is very calm and soft spoken. When she mentions things to you, it definitely comes from an educational perspective. She explains things thoroughly to you and stops to ask you if you have any questions so that she can clarify, if need be. As for my delivery experience.. it was totally amazing! She was on call when I had arrived at the hospital. When the nurses called her to let her know that I was admitted, she was THERE. When she came in to the room, she came in calmly as she prepared herself and the nurses which 1000% helped set the tone) (Also, let me note that I’ve witnessed a birth before and that doctor came in rushing and rushing the nurses which definitely created a crazy environment and overstimulated the mom.) During the process, she talked me through it (again.. calmly) and offered words of encouragement!, and took her after the delivery- stitching, clean-up, etc. The following day, she went to check-in on me and the baby which I appreciated. I’d chose this office over and over again for my care,- hands down🤞🏽💜

I've been seeing Dr. AUGUST for over 10 years. She's like family and reliable. All my other providers change every few years but she has remained the same. Can't wait for her to deliver my baby. Yes her office may be a little outdated it I'll take this private practice over any fancy office I'll tell you that much!

Years ago when I was newly engaged, I came in for a regular visit. Let’s keep in mind, I was PMS’ing and emotional. Let’s also note, at this point, I wasn’t sure I wanted kids. When she found out about the engagement, her first question was, “and when are we gonna start having kids?” I said, I wasn’t really sure. That’s when her attitude changed to rude and serious and she says, “well… things stop working.” I felt so awkward and uncomfortable that I started to cry. She then turned nicer again and gave me a hug, which at that point I just wanted to leave. I chose not to have kids and not ever go back to see her.

I had gone to this practice and had a great experience a couple of years ago so it was my first choice when I needed additional care. Sadly my experience this time could not have been more different… One of the receptionists was so dismissive, rude and seemingly annoyed at me that I was baffled at what I could have possibly done to deserve to be treated that way. It impacted the rest of my day and I immediately sought out a different care provider. The waiting room is reminiscent of a hallway in the show severance, not a decoration or comfort item to be found and this seemed to set the mood for the practice. My experience was confusing, cold and rude. If you’re hoping to be treated like a human and would like to feel welcomed and cared for then I would go somewhere else.

Do not use this doctor if you are looking for the best care for you and your unborn child. This woman has no bedside manner and rushes out of appointments as quickly as possible. She gives very little explanation and uses sarcasm as an excuse to be curt and insensitive. Also be aware if you are anything but a white skinny female, she makes comments that are borderline discriminative and focuses more on your weight and race than actually giving medical information about your unborn child or test results. I wish I had checked reviews instead of trusting a referral from one of her colleagues. At the end of the day this is a business and there’s little to no customer service with this doctor.
