Surgical Associates of Richmond

When I enter the office of Surgical Associates of Richmond, I immediately feel welcomed. The front office staff are all friendly and very professional. The nurses and technicians are likewise very capable individuals. I have the highest regard for Dr. Brian Chen and the care he has given me over the past year. Finally, I could not conclude my comments without mentioning "Kathy", Dr. Chen's scheduler. She is as capable a professional as I have ever met. I always consider her to be my ally as she willing works to find appointment times that work for my schedule. No one wants to need the service of vascular surgeons, but I rest easy knowing the quality of care I received at Surgical Associates is close by should I have such a need in the future. Michael A. Went from my PCP to Surgical Associates to have an ultrasound. Receptionist was friendly and answered questions I had. After just a few minutes, the technician came to take me back for my procedure. She was very efficient and professional. It was a great experience.

We were referred to this group by our family physician… My father was having excruciating pain and had a really bad abscess We were fortunate enough to get Dr Bouchard and she was amazing caring and understanding and just an all-around great person. Her assistant was very nice and showed compassion to my dad. The whole office was very friendly and kind. You can tell these people that work in this office enjoy their job and they all have a great rapport.

When entering your greeted by front desk staff… then, to their vast collection of previous data, Lisa, was GREAT and kind hearted given I could not remember other HCA doctors names. Seen promptly and followed up by their coordinating staff when leaving was not something that usually happens after an appointment. It was nice to see that they cared along with the rest of the doctors and staffing!

Nobody wants to need surgery. Dr Bouchard came highly recommended and from the first meeting I had every confidence that she was the right surgeon. She explained everything, gave me time to ask questions and followed up with some questions to make sure I understood my options. She also knew my file. I never felt like I was just another patient on an assembly line. I was treated like a person. On the day of surgery, the entire team was kind and professional and personable. Dr Bouchard and her assistant followed up in the hospital to make sure I and my family understood how the surgery went and what to expect from recovery. Her office staff helped me navigate the medical paperwork and made sure I understood how much recovery time I was actually going to need. ( They were right). I’m 3 weeks out from surgery, feeling good and nearly 100%. It hasn’t been a cake walk but I can’t fully describe how enthusiastic I am to feel My life and health coming back to normal. I absolutely recommend Dr Bouchard and her team. I felt like I was being cared for by a trusted friend.
