I was very pleased with my visits to West Dermatology; the staff is very pleasant and helpful and my doctor is great! The staff that assisted my doctor when I had Mohs surgery were also great; I knew I was in good hands. This wasn't my first time around having this type of procedure, but it's been over 6 years and a different medical group since I've changed insurances; they were very professional and reassuring to me. I have a lot of confidence in West Dermatology and would refer them to anyone.

My appt was at 2:45 & I arrived for a 3:45 appt. My mistake. Instead of having to reschedule, I was able to be seen by Dr. O’Connell. I am very appreciative of that. Thank you. Also had a very thorough exam by Dr. O’Connell. And only got “zapped” once on my left hand! Hooray! Thank you Dr. O!

Very nice facility. Friendly staff. I believe medical services rendered to me were professional, caring, and satisfactory. I was informed I may have to come back for another treatment but was well informed on why and when. I would definitely recommend this medical facility to others.

It takes me an hour to see someone, and have had complications since the original skin cancer was removed. Each was the size of a 50 cent piece. I got staff infection and made multiple visits to address that. I have 7 more spots that need removed as well, but it’s been about a month from the first ones that were removed. It feels like it’s been a cluster from the beginning. I was assured by Kaiser that they were all surface and not cancer generating. Every time I go, there is another reason why we can’t move on…staff infection, no lab techs, etc. I want this over instead of what I’ve done wrong since the beginning. The holes were big and deep, much more complicated than originally communicated. It’s also taken many appts, which they know I don’t have transportation now. I’m going to them, 1 to 2 times every other week. I’m just not happy about things from the beginning. I hope this helps and doesn’t come back to bite me in the end.

My experience with this practice was extremely disappointing. One provider's treatment left me with severe scarring and complications that ultimately required a hospital visit and a steroid injection that physically disfigured me. There is one competent Dr, Unfortunately I missed several appointments because I was consistently ill, which is how I later discovered I had cancer. After explaining my medical situation directly to a doctor and discussing the difficulty I was having getting in, my appointment with that doctor was cancelled. I understand that practices have policies, but I expected more compassion and better continuity of care during a serious health crisis.
