I chose to have a breast augmentation at Amelia after years and years of fighting the choice because I had never felt like cosmetic surgery was appropriate for me. I felt like people would judge me, like I wouldn’t look natural, or I wouldn’t love myself because I’d be “fake.” But truly I didn’t love myself the way I wanted to anyway. One consultation with Dr. Hunter made me so certain that nothing else mattered except what I felt was right for me. I can’t express the amount of gratitude I feel for the way the team took care of me. They really treat people here with the utmost respect, sensitivity, & grace that is required when going on a journey to change one’s appearance. The decision to alter my natural body for the first time was not an easy one for me. I had always been flat chested and prone to lumps in my breast from my fibrous breast tissue. I finally got tired of living with the pain of these lumps, sought out medical help & advice from breast care specialists & cosmetic surgeons. But the answers they gave me were clinical, cold: “You’ll just have to live with the pain since it’s not cancer.. yet. You could have them removed but we’ll have to just perform a double mastectomy since you don’t have much breast tissue to begin with.” I’m so glad I chose myself after 7+ years of trying to find alternatives and dealing with Doctors that didn’t see me as a human being. Dr. Hunter is a phenomenal person that saw me as human. I gave him my insecurities & my pain, and he took it on with a clear plan to help me feel like the best version of myself. Not one decision was made for me, only presented as “I will do whatever it is you choose. I’m here for you.” My husband saw me walk out of every appointment with tears of joy in my eyes and my head held high instead of my shoulders tucked in shame & hurt. You and your team have changed my life, Dr. Hunter! Dr. Hunter and his entire surgery office provided an outstanding experience from start to finish. During my pre-surgery consultation, Dr. Hunter was exceptionally professional, attentive, and took the time to fully understand what I was hoping to achieve. He explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident moving forward. The results were exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I’d say I got 85% of the way to my fitness goals before considering plastic surgery, and at first, part of me felt like I was “hitting the easy button” for that last 15% by getting a full tummy tuck and arm liposuction. After becoming a mom, I struggled to justify surgery for the sake of my self confidence. But after my consult with Dr. Hunter (and many conversations with my husband), I finally felt like that was reason enough to take the plunge. I told Dr. Hunter my history - that some of my physical insecurities I was hoping to target stemmed from childhood and the athletic build I was born with, but others came after having my daughter. He took the time to talk through it all with me, and was realistic with the expectations he set. He said this likely wouldn’t be the most dramatic transformation he’s ever done, but an impactful one. He was confident that he would would match my vision of a more lean appearance (full TT + arm liposuction), meet my goals of restoring strength and stability in my core (with muscle + umbilical hernia repair), and fulfill my desire for a slightly more feminine, but natural looking contour. It was easy to trust Dr. Hunter - his passion for what he does comes through in every conversation, and the results truly speak for themselves. At about 7.5 months post-op, I’m feeling the leanest, strongest and most confident I’ve ever felt in my entire life. There is no “pressing the easy button” (especially when it comes to becoming a mom!). We deserve to feel happy and confident in the skin we’re in, and I’m forever grateful for Dr. Hunter’s vision, skill and artistry for helping me get there!

I was extremely nervous about undergoing major surgery (tummy tuck and breast augmentation), but from the beginning I felt confident I had chosen the right surgeon. After extensive research, I decided on Dr. Hunter, and I’m so glad I did. Not only does he have an excellent bedside manner, but his work is truly incredible. The results exceeded my expectations—especially my belly button, which looks very natural. My recovery was also smooth, and I felt well cared for throughout the entire process.
