I had such a great experience with my rhinoplasty surgery here, not only with Dr Portuese but everyone in his office and operating room staff. I traveled alone for my surgery which can be nerve wracking and they connected me with an amazing nurse who made this experience so much more comfortable for me, and so was the staff that was there when I was waking up from surgery. Dr Portuese is also very experienced and I definitely feel is trustworthy and genuine. He is realistic with expectations for results and that is very important. This was not my first surgery but how much Dr Portuese and his staff care definitely sets his practice apart from others.

I always had a difficult relationship with my nose, particularly my profile which showed my prominent dorsal hump. I researched every plastic surgeon in the area and chose Dr. Schvidler due to his reconstructive ENT background, amazing before and after photos, and glowing patient reviews. Dr. Joe listened carefully to my concerns during our initial consultation and created a simulated image of my new nose. The whole team guided me through the surgical experience - thank you Melissa, Kelly, Fran, Jen (and others whose names escape me), for making me feel safe and supported throughout. Post-op pain, bruising, bleeding and swelling was minimal. The result, while still healing, is miraculous. Dr. Joe enhanced my natural features to give me the noble, refined, yet petite nose of my dreams. The whole experience has far surpassed my expectations. I only wish I had the procedure sooner. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Portuese if you are considering a rhinoplasty! Him and his entire support team are professional, knowledgeable and make you feel that you are in good hands throughout the process. Prior to the procedure, I was very nervous but any worries were eased through himself & the surgical team. I am only one week post-opt and am already loving my new nose - which is shocking, as I didn’t expect to already be happy with the results, given that the swelling still will take awhile to go down. It looks exactly like the simulated photos I was shown in my consult - very natural looking with the adjustments that I desired & that he suggested. The recovery has also been a lot smoother than I anticipated with minimal swelling & bruising. His team gave me a call the day after surgery to ensure everything was going okay & has been great in answering any post-opt questions - which was much appreciated as well. Dr. Portuese is an exceptionally talented artist in facial plastic surgery, and is an equally compassionate individual. Before deciding on Dr. Portuese to perform my septo-rhinoplasty, I had consultations with renown facial plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, Dallas, and New York over the course of several years. To say I was a cautious potential patient was an understatement. I chose Dr. Portuese not only because of his decades of experience, reputation as a skilled surgeon in functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, and beautiful before and after photos, but also because of his warm and caring demeanor. You see, as a child my nose experienced a great deal of trauma - both literally and figuratively. I had to put a great deal of trust in Dr. Portuese. To put it simply, he made me feel whole again. It amazes me that a 60 minute procedure has the ability to be so transformative. Although there is much healing to do, the initial results are absolutely beautiful. I just had a procedure done about 2 weeks ago. I am close to one week post up and I loved my results. I am a goalkeeper and have been through plenty of hits in the face and broken my nose 4 times. Safe to say I did not a septorhinoplasty to fix my breathing as well since I’ve had difficulty with breathing for quite a bit. The whole process was so easy and I felt welcomed and safe with Dr. Joseph Shvidler. He was super nice and very reassuring with the whole process. I was a bit nervous but Dr. Shvidler and the nurses made sure I was in safe hands and should have no worries before my procedure. My swelling was not terrible thankfully and I was not in pain for too long after my surgery. After one week I came in and got my cast removal and was shocked with the results. At first it is a little scary since I was not use to it and I was very swollen.But it’s been close to a week and i’m starting to love the results and love how Dr.Shvidler focuses on making the nose as natural as possible which is a big plus. I am excited for the swelling to continue to go down and to see my final results in the coming months. I would recommend Dr.Shvidler to everyone because he’s the absolute best!
