Dr Bartholomew has a very pleasant and reassuring bed-side manner. He is very willing to explain his procedure as he goes along. I can't say enough about Dr. Bartholomew and his skill as a plastic surgeon. I recently had right carpal tunnel release surgery and was able to receive this procedure "in-office!" Dr. Bartholomew was very detailed about what the procedure would entail and answered all of my questions during our pre-op visit. His medical assistants and office staff are wonderful and were so helpful with scheduling and helping to fill out my forms for short term disability. My procedure was very successful! I am so happy that my right hand no longer falls asleep during the day and at night. The pain was minimal and my recovery has been going well. Dr. Bartholomew is one of the leading plastic surgeons in the Portland area. He is up-to-date on the latest techniques and it shows in the results from his many patients. I had an excellent experience and outcome with Dr. Bartholomew. I have suffered with carpal tunnel syndrome for 40 years as it progressively worsened. In retirement, I finally scheduled the consultation and surgery. During the consultation, Dr. Bartholomew was very thorough in discussing the pros and cons and realistic outcomes in addition to what to expect after surgery and during recovery. So far, he is spot on. Pain is and has been minimal. Swelling was brief and minor. The procedure was done in the office and I was in and out within an hour. Super happy.
