I want to share how important Dr. Loyo has been to me while working through my facial paralysis. Since 2020 when I first had my Bell’s palsy that did not heal back to normal, Dr. Loyo has been right next to me and has helped me with surgical procedures, Botox and having me do other treatments that may help the paralysis. Her surgical procedures have been amazing and has not only helped physically but has helped me emotionally. Thank you Dr. Loyo for being an outstanding surgeon and taking the time to walk through this hard journey with me. I would also like to add that the office staff at Ohsu from back office to front office are awesome!

Dr. Loyo is beyond exceptional at her craft! I had been suffering with breathing difficulties my entire life, having to use inhaler, not being able to exercise beyond 20 minyes, and allergies worsened by blockage in my nose. I am now able to sleep better, breathe better, and play soccer for 1.5 hour without taking breaks. My entire daily routine has changed for the better. And my nose even looks better on my face now with these functional changes so that was a huge bonus! If you need a top doctor who is extremely talented and makes you feel comfortable the entire process, there is nobody better than Dr. Loyo. Dr. Myriam Loyo Martinez is not only the best facial surgeon in Oregon, she is quite possibly one of the best in the entire United States. She is incredibly knowledgeable and impressively meticulous in her approach. I developed synkinesis from Bell’s Palsy over nine years ago and struggled to find a provider who truly understood what it feels like to live with this condition. Dr. Martinez performed a selective neurolysis on me, and the very next day I felt incredible movement in my face, even while beginning the recovery process. My facial symmetry has already improved, and during my follow-up appointment, she was genuinely pleased with my progress. She explained that I can expect even more improvement over the next year. Her bedside manner is exceptional, she is compassionate, patient, and deeply caring. She has changed my life, and I am forever grateful to have found such an extraordinary surgeon. If you are dealing with Bell’s Palsy or any other issue relating to the face or neck, she is absolutely the surgeon you want. My only regret is that she can’t be my primary care doctor! I will always be grateful for being placed in the hands of one of the most amazing surgeons in being to restore my complex deviated nose. After two failed rhinoseptoplasties somewhere else, I finally found someone who gave me hope. Someone who saw that my case could be fixed and took it on, even knowing how complex it was.
