I went in for a liver transplant. Of course I was anesthetized for the procedure and sometime after that. I was in ICU for one day and then transferred to a patient room. I had no pain from the transplant or the scar. I was there for two weeks and the personnel that took care of were professional and in most cases engaged in my humor with me. That was very therapeutic. I like being out of the hospital but miss most of the staff. From being in the bed so long my arthritic ankle got extremely arthritic and so I use a walker. For longer walks my family rolls in a wheelchair. Ankle is improving.

UNMC is one of the premier care centers in the United States. I recently had a knee replacement that was performed by Dr. Kevin Garvin. His care pre and postoperative was absolutely stellar. Dr Garvin’s staff has also been excellent. Their attention to me and any of my questions or concerns were addressed immediately with solutions not just answers. I am 16 weeks post op and have what I call the forgotten knee, when someone asks how is your knee, I have to think, which knee? I am probably 95% back to a pain free, 71 year young, very active life. The Sr Access Associate Tracy was very nice and did her job well. The X-ray tech was very sweet, she was either a student or new but we all have to learn some how. The nursing staff that did my vitals were also very sweet. The doctor spent adequate time with me and seemed to really know his stuff. I look forward to working with him to help relieve me of my foot pain.

I suffered from lower back and leg pain for several years. Another doctor had diagnosed me with SI issues. Conservative treatment did nothing to alleviate my pain so I decided to get a second opinion. I was referred to Nebraska Medicine and met with Dr. Vincent. He determined my pain was not SI related but L5-S1 issues. He is the best! He is an exceptional surgeon and I am now pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Vincent. He and his staff all are top-notch!

Dr.. Kevin Garvin was very pleasant! I appreciated his assistant Cameron, too! Both of them did the knees of my friends the Kolpecky’s! I hope to have good results with my knee and hip operation. Thank you and God bless them! 🙏
