Nebraska Medicine Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Village Pointe Health Center

I am thoroughly impressed by how great the radiology service here. The first thing I noticed was a sign saying if you habe waited for more than 10min than your appointment time please talk to the representative at the front desk. This is the first time I see a medical facility to care about a patience time!!! What a great breath of fresh air! The staff are kind, observing, understanding, and great listener! One of the staff brought an oven warmed blanket for me while walking by me and checking on other patient and I was sitting in the women's waiting area. Great training for the staff on being observant and caring for the patient. I wish more medical facility can have this kind of service.

Dr. Heckman is an excellent surgeon. I have complete faith in him and have referred several family members. I have had three procedures at his office and have been beyond pleased with his expertise and bedside manner. My results always exceeded my expectations. His staff is professional and friendly. I have also seen his PA (Anne) and she is wonderful. I give Dr. Heckman the highest recommendation!

Do not recommend Dr Heckman. His staff (specifically nurse Elizabeth G and clinic manager Samantha Ricks) are very disrespectful would send condescending one chart messages anytime I would try to follow up with Dr. Heckman. I had a procedure with him a few years back and tried to follow up a few times for some concerns and issues breathing through one side of my nose. The clinic manager Samantha was incapable of making a direct phone call which I requested multiple times and instead messaged me saying I could not follow up with him, when I couldn’t breathe through one side of my nose and he did the procedure. Instead she would continue to send one chart messages when I made clear I wanted a phone call to discuss my concerns. I am unsure how a manager is so unprofessional that she could not take 5 min for a phone conversation. Instead she wanted to continue to send condescending one chart messages. Do NOT recommend this location. His staff and the clinic manager will simply deny you an appointment any point they want to if you speak up for being treated disrespectful by his staff (even after you had surgery done prior and have complications down the line). Very disappointed because I did have a positive experience originally.

Billing is an absolute nightmare. I have called repeatedly and no one will give a straight answer. Updated a year later: It turns out I was correct and was over billed $3000 for which they never apologized for or could adequately explain. In fact they made me feel like I was the issue when it turns out, I was correct the entire time!

Staff are very friendly and nice! I had so much faith and hope that we was going to figure out my issue after doing MRI and seeing other doctors. He gave me the impression that he is going to get to the bottom of it. He was even shocked about the other doctors not being able to figure it out! He ordered tests and X-rays. No one called me regarding my results, so I signed on the chart online and saw some lab results were off so it scared me. I left messages two days in a row and finally a nurse calls me and says labs looks fine and Dr. Feely can't do anything but may be refer me to a pain management clinic. He billed my insurance for around $1700.00 and I had to pay most out of pocket! So disappointed!
