Dr. Schaffner performed my lipedema surgery in late January, and now at three months post-op, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If my results are this amazing at only three months post-op, I am so excited to see what six months and beyond will bring. Almost 6 years ago my upper left thigh was damaged in a botched cool sculpting procedure. I found Dr. Schaffner while researching the top body doctors in NYC and went for a consultation. Unfortunately, at the time there was no permanent treatment for fixing the giant depression on the side of my leg. However, after I left, he was so kind to call me and follow up with me. I'm sure he could see my distraught confusion after what had happed to me and he wanted to give me as much information and clarification as he possibly could even though I wasn't sure if my issue was even fixable. Now, years later, after the release of Alloclae, I went back to Dr. Schaffner. He remembered me, and after our now second consultation, we believed that Alloclae would finally be the option for me. On the day of the procedure he spent so much time with me discussing how I wanted my leg to look, studied both legs to make sure I would be as symmetrical as possible, and set me up with an amazing pain management plan for the day of the procedure that I felt little to no pain. Now my leg finally looks like my leg again! When I look down I don't have the soul crushing feeling of seeing this giant deformity on the side of my body that I've had to hide for so long, the worst being my beach wedding in Aruba. He is a true artist. I recently had 2 lipedema liposuction procedures by Dr. Adam Schaffner. A total of almost 15.5 litres were removed from my legs and abdomen with a weight loss of appox. 40 pounds. Dr. Schaffner addressed all my concerns and did a fabulous job. I found Dr. Schaffner to be precise and extremely knowledgeable as well as compassionate and caring. He made himself available by phone at all times.

I had lipedema liposuction of the legs (mainly the knee area) with Dr. Schaffner, and I couldn’t be happier! From my first virtual consultation to every follow-up, he was incredibly thorough, kind, and responsive; no question ever went unanswered. He genuinely cares and was always available, even replying directly from his own phone. The office staff was amazing, especially in helping me after surgery, and my nurse aide was an absolute gem; so patient and caring. I’m only 4 months post-op, and I already feel lighter overall, not that heavy-swollen feeling I always felt with the lipedema. I’m overall just more comfortable and so happy I finally did it. Finding a doctor experienced with lipedema made all the difference. Dr. Schaffner and his team are truly the best!
