Dr. Christopher G. Trahan, MD, FACS

In 2016 my mother had an infected bypass graft that caused her to become septic….along with other complications. Dr. Trahan traveled to the Northshore St Tammany Hospital as a favor to the Cardio thoracic surgeon and performed an extensive flap taken from my mothers abdomen and placed to her chest wall. A long shot for a then nearly 80 year with many comorbities. She nearly died. Mom survived. 9 years later, we are grateful for the memories we’ve been allowed to create with her. Dr Trahan, was so kind and patient with my mother at every post op visit. My mother is a retired registered nurse dating from the 1960’s. Her bar for excellence is high… She was very pleased with Dr Trahan. As were my family and I. Thank you.

Getting a breast cancer diagnosis can be devastating, but my experience at the center for restorative breast care made the whole process easier. Dr. Trahan used his expertise in creating not only new breast for me after my bilateral mastectomy, but he used his artistic skills to create new breast that looked great. The entire staff there are caring and compassionate. I am so happy that I chose the center for my treatment.

After having 10 previous surgeries for breast reconstruction I came to Dr Trahan and his team.I am so thrilled with my results! The caring,professionalism,and surgical expertise by Dr Trahan and his staff made me feel listened to and cared for in all ways. As a Nurse Practitioner and previous surgical nurse I have very high expectations.Dr Trahan and his team exceeded those expectation in all aspects!

I am very blessed to have found Dr. Trahan. After my double mastectomy Dr. Trahan did my reconstruction. I've been very pleased with him and he is truly an artist. I can honestly say I'm happier with my body now than I was before my surgery. I'm so grateful to the people at The Center for Restorative Breast Surgery and to Dr. Trahan.

Dr. Trahan fights hard to have reviews removed. We will see if this one stays up. I had surgery in 2018 with Dr. Trahan. I can't warn you enough not to have surgery with this man. I find him confusing, a slick salesman, and an avoider. You can find other patients with similar accounts online. I had the SGAP reconstruction. One side didn't get enough blood. This happens a lot with him and other doctors. I believe it happened in the hospital when they kept forcing me into this painful small garment. I also think he knew because I've seen notes from the hospital indicating it. He then proceeded to tell me everything was fine and safe, based on ultrasounds and photos, for months, gaslighting me. Another doctor (and then 2 more) diagnosed on SIGHT that it would need to be removed. Trahan then avoided calling me back for a month and then dropped me as a patient formally. I've heard the same from about 10 other patients now - that the hospital ditched them things went wrong. Patients who spend their entire life savings. They also destroy or don't complete medical records, because mine included literally nothing and had left and right breasts mixed up. I have lived with terrible pain since because removing it leaves me with nothing. I wrote a blog about my experience, and the doctor threatened to sue me. Lol. Over an accurate blog about a terrible doctor. They removed my yelp review several times. That should say a lot.
