I am so fortunate to have crossed paths with Dr. Kandil and his team. He is very knowledgeable and I love his approach to preserve first. He will talk through multiple options and give his recommendation. But if you still have reservations or questions he is patient and makes sure all your questions are answered. I developed thyroid nodules. I was monitored by a doctor for over 6 years having an ultrasound done every year only to have them grow bigger and told I had to have my thyroid removed. Wanted a second opinion. I began to search for another doctor. Fast forward. Now a genetic testing done which showed a 90% risk of malignancy! God put Dr. Kandil in my path! I did a lot of research on him. Found he was who I needed to help me understand and navigate through what I was going through. Even though my situation could not be changed, I trusted his opinion and the education that he had to assure he would be the right Dr. for me whom I could trust! Now, the surgery. Dr. Kandil and his staff took really good care of me. It’s been four months since thyroidectomy surgery. I am healing really well and my scar looks great! I highly recommend Dr. Kandil. My goiter was monitored for many years. I was told it was at least 2 times the size of a normal thyroid. My doctor moved and left the network. After 2 years I felt I needed to get back to a doctor's care and my network didn't have any in this speciality. I was authorized to go outside my network and found Dr. Kandil. He immediately ordered blood work, sonogram and x-rays to determine the best course of action. Dr. Kandil suggested removal of my left thyroid (goiter). I agreed and he successfully removed it. I am fortunate my right thyroid took up the slack and is working where I don't need medication. It was great to close one of my health issues.

When all others only offered me thyroid surgical removal of the entire lobe, Dr. Kandil has offered me nodule ablation, and it is saving my career as a professional singer/entertainer.
