I had my Aptis implant done two years ago because of impaction against the lunate bone and the radius. Best surgical decision I ever made. I can not tell or feel that I have a DRUJ implant thanks to Dr Scheker who had the vision of a need for a better way to help with ulna pain, also Aptis Rep Paul Stavnitzky for his input and insight and my outstanding surgeon Dr Paul Sibley for his surgical skills. I feel great!

Dr. Scheker performed surgery on my right wrist (the Aptis Scheker prosthesis) and it totally eliminated my ulna pain and restored full strength to my wrist. Prior to that surgery, several surgeons in CT tried unsuccessfully to relieve my pain. Dr. Scheker is brilliant, reassuring, and a genuine person. He significantly upgraded my quality of life.

Dr. Scheker had treated me many times in my life. I first met him when I was 16 and then later on when I was in my early 30's, I am now 52 yrs old. Dr. Scheker is not only an amazing surgeon, he is also an amazing man. I have the up most respect for him and he will always have a special place in my heart. Dr. Scheker had to perform many surgeries on my hand and elboys over those years. We not only became patient and doctor, we became close friends. I love this kind man with all my heart. He has since retired and I miss him very very much. It was an honor to have known him.

One of the worst heath care experiences I have had in a long time. When I called to scheduled the appointment I asked questions such as where is the office, since it is downtown, where should I park and they only reply is the information will be in the follow up email. The follow up email did not answer my questions or provide any guidance in how to get into the office. I did not know where to park and I had to pay for parking. Once I was there I waited over and hour to get called back and I've heard two different nurses say they were doing good on time but it took 45 minutes after my appointment time to be called back. If 45 minutes is good on time, then the appointment times need to be reevaluated. The whole appointment was very disorganized. I was asked similar questions by multiple nurses which did not add value to my treatment and just prolonged my time at the office. It appeared the office was very disorganized. I spent less than 5 minutes with the doctor and was given 0 information on how to care for my injury. But 5 minutes with a doctor for an overall 2 hour visit is pathetic.
