Dr Slack is a brilliant Plastic Surgeon, with a beautiful aesthetic vision, highly skilled in her technique and microsurgery and she operates with meticulous artistry. I met Dr Slack when I was scheduled to have double mastectomy because of lobular carcinoma. Dr Kusske, at UCLA Health my also fabulous breast cancer surgeon, introduced Dr Slack for my reconstruction part. Since first appointment, Dr Slack was very caring and patient, she listened to my concerns and addressed all my questions. I felt confident and an enlightenment in such a difficult moment that the reconstruction process would be successful. My experience was wonderful and extremely positive throughout, from start until the beautiful results I have today. Dr Slack operated with excellence including a complex Diep Flap hybrid reconstruction. Everyone in her amazing team at UCLA Health are great doctors and nurses and my recovery from the surgeries went fast and uncomplicated. I'm forever grateful to Dr Slack for my gorgeous reconstruction, perfect breasts and beautiful body contour she gave me after Diep Flap. I feel so blessed she is my surgeon. I will always return to her for any plastic surgery considerations in the future as well.

The stakes were incredibly high. I had already endured three failed breast surgeries, resulting in partial breast necrosis, deep emotional trauma, and years of PTSD. On top of that, Dr. Slack wasn’t just any surgeon—she’s my colleague. As an OR nurse at UCLA, I’ve worked closely with her- I’ve watched her work and no doubt was she my 1st and only surgeon to consider .As nurses share a lot with each other, both professionally and personally, which made this even more delicate or challenging for anyone . She made me feel truly seen, and she responded quickly through MyChart anytime I had questions or fears. When I woke up from surgery, it was nothing like the trauma I’d experienced before. No bruises. No horror. Just immediate, beautiful results that brought tears to my eyes. Dr. Slack didn’t just reconstruct my breast—she restored my confidence, my sense of self, and my womanhood. I finally feel like me again. I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN AGAIN. There are no words strong enough to thank her. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Slack. Her demeanour is so kind and professional, she really listens and also explains everything clearly. I had a very complicated procedure with her so I’ve had to see her a lot, and every experience has been positive. And my results are beautiful! I wish she could be my doctor for everything honestly
