Dr. Arnold S. Breitbart, MD

I was referred to Dr. Breitbart for a face and neck lift by a surgeon in a related field. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Breitbart 4 years ago, but was not ready to proceed for several personal reasons until this spring. I'm so glad I finally did! This is not a flashy, high pressure office, but rather a warm professional environment, where the individualized care and expertise is apparent. In addition to Dr. Breitbart being soft spoken and thorough, his longtime staff (another green flag) is friendly and efficient. All of my questions and concerns were promptly addressed, either on the phone or in person- they were always happy to offer an appointment to see the doctor. I live nearly an hour away but did avail myself of this opportunity several times in the weeks leading up to my surgery. Dr. Breitbart's on-site surgical suite is very convenient, and his OR staff is similarly competent and caring. I had my surgery just 3 weeks ago, and am healing beautifully. I am very pleased with my results so far (some residual swelling remains, pretty much noticeable only to me). I was able to resume my regular activities pretty quickly and was back to casual social get-togethers within 2 weeks. I look forward to my continued improvement as the healing process evolves. I highly recommend Dr. Breitbart to anyone considering cosmetic surgery.

I highly recommend Dr. Breitbart for anyone looking for plastic surgery on Long Island. I've known him for years and he's not only an excellent surgeon, but a great all around guy. His practice staff is warm and welcoming and really makes you feel at ease throughout the whole process. He really takes his time to walk you through everything during the consult, answers all your questions, and calms your nerves prior to the procedure. Post surgery his office is extremely communicative and proactively checks in on you to make sure you're healing as expected. I really could not recommend him more! And his office is in a super convenient location

Dr. Breitbart is a true ARTIST! I went to him for a mommy make 6 months ago and it was the best decision ever. My healing process has been unbelievable. I get compliments all the time. I'm often told my breast look and feel so natural which is exactly what I wanted. My tummy tuck scars are barely visable and hidden. My incision is flat and straight. I'm beyond happy to be in my new better body and no longer hiding under big clothes. The office is warm and welcoming. The staff is very helpful, knowledgable, caring and personable. Dr. Breitbart was patient, answered all of my questions and concerns. He is kind and caring. His vision completely aligned with my dream body! My surgery went smoothly as planned! The results of my surgery were nothing short of AMAZING!! I highly recommend him and will return for future services.

Dr Breitbart is a wonderful doctor. I would recommend him to everyone! His staff is very compassionate as well. He/they are calm and wonderful. I have just completed a surgery with him and I could not be happier.

**Update 12/22/2025:** After posting this review, I was contacted by Dr. Breitbart’s office and provided with my before-and-after photos. I have added them here so readers can decide for themselves. To clarify expectations, the areas of concern for me were the flank and waist regions. Those areas were not treated during my procedure, which helps explain why my waist measurement remained unchanged, despite improvement in other areas. **Original review:** I chose Dr. Arnold Breitbart largely because of his communication style and the responsiveness of his office, which made me feel comfortable moving forward. He was easy to reach when I had questions, I did not feel rushed during my consultation, and the staff was polite and responsive throughout the process. The offices were well maintained, and having two locations made it convenient to stay local for surgery and recovery. That said, I am ultimately not happy with the results, particularly with my flanks. My primary goal was a smaller, more defined waistline, and that was not achieved. I measured my waist at the same point before and after surgery, and there was no reduction (29.25 inches before surgery and 29.5 inches after surgery). My arms did improve, with a reduction of approximately 1.5 inches in circumference (from 13 inches to 11.5 inches). In hindsight, I believe the scope of treatment was too limited. Only the lower abdomen was treated, and another surgeon I later consulted indicated that both the upper and lower abdominal areas likely should have been addressed to achieve a reduction in my waist. I was also surprised that I did not receive a follow-up call in the days after surgery, particularly given that I underwent general anesthesia. One clear positive is scarring. Dr. Breitbart’s scar placement is excellent, especially for the arm liposuction. Healing was smooth, scars are well hidden, and there were no irregularities. Overall, this was a mixed experience. While communication, staff interactions, and scarring were strong, the aesthetic outcome did not meet my goals given the approximately $10,000 cost.
