I recently received breast revision surgery by Dr. Drake. My silicone breast implants were ruptured in a car accident leaving my breasts and my emotional state a mess at the very least. While Dr. Drake does appear very busy (a sign you have a good doc. in my opinion) his time was quality and he made me feel instantly heard and comforted. I felt hopeful after our first meeting and most importantly like he genuinely cared for me as a patient and more than a paycheck throughout the entire process. Wonderful doctor and human being!

I had top surgery with DR Drake on 5/5/2021. He listened attentively to my wants and needs and was very concerned about meeting my expectations. The care from him, his team, the anesthesiologist and her team, the surgery nurses was top notch. I would recommend UK health to everyone and will go no where else. I am very happy with my results.

I had too surgery with dr drake November of 2021. He was absolutely amazing. All his staff and the surgical team. They made sure I was comfortable and understood what exactly was happening in every stage. I was extremely nervous being put under and the anesthesiologist team were the sweetest people. I recommend the whole team for gender affirming surgery.

I went to Dr Drake about a few growths on my skin. His was one of the few practices that had openings fairly quickly and that my insurance covered. There was a growth on my eye, one on my neck and one in an area I'll call "below the bikini line." The nurses at this office were all lovely. They tried very hard to make experience pleasant. I thought it was unusual that the first nurse I encountered immediately started telling me how much I was going to love Dr Drake but decided to take it as an encouraging sign. It wasn't. I think she was trying to build up my confidence in the doctor because she was aware his manner could be off-putting. The first issue was I needed to disrobe below the waist and cover myself with a sheet. The resident who was assisting Dr Drake tapped once very briefly on the door and flung the door open immediately without waiting for any indication I was actually covered and ready for someone to come in. I had literally just straightened up after being bent over with my fanny in the air and that annoyed me right off the bat. Then Dr Drake came in along with the nurse and some random person who was never introduced. Dr Drake didn't explain very well what he was going to be doing or what exactly he thought the growths were. I thought the growth on my eye was a milia that could just be popped out with no stitches but apparently it required excision with stitches. That would have been fine if he would have told me before he started cutting into my eye but he didn't. He's also of the opinion that milia only occur along incision lines even though Dr Google and every dermatologist I've ever been to have told me otherwise. I'm prone to milia around my eyes in places there have never been incisions so personal experience tells me otherwise. But the most uncomfortable part was when all four of these people are staring at my crotch with the spotlight over it and I felt like a piece of meat on a grocery shelf. None of them seem to notice or acknowledge my obvious discomfort. Now I fully admit I'm a bit more modest than many people and maybe others think it's fine to have medical staff fling open the door whenever they want - regardless of your state of dress - but that just doesn't work for me. I think it's very disrespectful. I also felt it was disrespectful and dismissive to not explain what he was going to do before he started cutting in various places. The doctor acted like it was a huge inconvenience to actually explain to me what he was doing and why. Technically, Dr Drake was proficient. He removed the growths on my neck and face efficiently and i think they will heal great. But I will never voluntarily return there unless there's literally no other option. At the end of the visit, one of the nurses noticed I was visibly uncomfortable and I basically vented on her about the resident flinging open the door while I was changing and having all these strangers staring at my crotch under a spotlight. She seemed genuinely concerned and apparently communicated this later with the doctor. Because today I had my follow-up and Dr Drake came in alone and said he thought we must have had "some kind of a miscommunication" during the previous visit because I had clearly seemed upset. I appreciate the fact that he actually acknowledged my discomfort. And he apologized "for any miscommunication". I thanked him for the apology and told him I respected that. But I also told him that an apology without a change in the behavior that's causing the problem rings hollow. Because he did the exact same thing the resident did the week before - lightly tapped for a half a second on the door and flung the door open even though I had been told to undress from the waist down. I don't think we should have to choose between technically proficient care and respect. This is not the 1950s when doctors just do whatever the heck they want and patients are expected to just suck it up to appease the doctor gods.

Where to begin with this review? First off, Dr. Drake, his self was very polite. Unlike this other staff member working there. My daughter went there on February 6 to get approved for a surgery and we was told to allow time for everything to be submitted to the insurance for approval for her surgery, I called back on February 16 and spoke to Sarah and the scheduling department and she informed me that everything was submitted to the insurance and to allow two additional . I called back on that following Friday to my insurance company due to another authorization that I was needing and that I was just checking the status of this one and they informed me that nothing was submitted . so I called back to speak to Sarah and I had to leave a voicemail and asked her to please call me and of course, no return phone call so then I call back on the 16th which was that Monday again no answer so it left another voicemail. So I called the main office and I talked to a lady, and she said that she will relay the message, very nice lady. So I called my insurance on March 5 as well to see if anything has ever been submitted from the doctors office and question and they informed me that they just received all the paperwork on March 2 So I then called the office back because my insurance said they have tried to reach out to them on three different times needing more clinical notes so I called the doctors office andspoke to a lady. I forgot her name but it was not Sarah to let her know what was going on and she said that she will transfer the call to Sarah and I told her no that she could just relay the message because I’ve already been lied to once before. In the meantime, 2 days later my insurance had called me back to inform me that they have tried to call the company on three different occasions. . Skip a few days. …. guess what no one from that office including Sarah has reached back out to my insurance. So then they call a day or two later to schedule my daughters surgery and we told them no thank you that we are going to another physician due to the conduct they provided and reading the reviews of the doctor in question. Don’t get me wrong. Dr. Drake . was very pleasant. So in the meantime, we get a bill in the mail for $190. They charged us for a 40 minute office visit which was a lie because we was only in there for /20 25 minutes at the My insurance has submitted an email me everything that they have documented on each time. They have tried to call and left messages on different dates. I have also notated every time that I have called and had to leave a message and when I did talk to someone. My insurance said I can dispute the whole bill and they would help me, but I’ll be willing to let the insurance part pay out and they waive my portion due to the fact of us having to go and get another consultation for the exact same surgery So in the last Week till a week and a half we have called this doctor’s office and asked them to withdrawal their authorization for the surgery so the other doctor can submit theirs. They refuse to call my insurance and do it. I called them Two different times asking them to please call the insurance because the insurance will not take my word and pull it on my behalf. The doctors that submitted it has to reject it according to the insurance so I called the insurance again today and explain to them what was going on they informed me that no one from that office has called to cancel it so I told them to please escalate it and pull it due to the lack of conduct given from the facility and everything so they are pulling it on my behalf after send that I have called asking questions about has it been pulled yet so they was aware that we have asked Please read up an investigate before going to any doctors appointments, regardless who the doctor is Please read all reviews before deciding to use this doctor’s office and question especially with the lady that post purchase now looks like a jigsaw puzzle.
