I have to take a moment to recognize Dr. Alok Saini. After almost two years of recurring sinus infections that caused debilitating pain and pressure I was referred to UK Otolaryngology. Dr. Saini listened to everything I had to say and we began to work together to fix the problem. He didn’t want to rush to surgery and I was agreeable but it became clear surgery would be needed. When the time came I trusted him fully and knew he would do everything he could and had the knowledge and skills to help. I couldn’t wait for them to knock me out so he could start surgery 🤣 Sounds crazy but it’s the absolute truth!!! From the moment I woke up I’ve experienced relief and it has continued thru my most recent follow up today. We both shared joy and happiness at my appt today over the results! Dr. Saini truly cares about his patients, his skills and knowledge are top tier. He is a true professional and a great listener and communicator. You will never leave an appointment with him confused or unsure. He has called me several times personally to check in and even has called before I get to the car after an appt to tell me something else he thought of after I left. I’m just truly thankful for him..thank you Dr. Saini!!

I had a severe posterior nose bleed as a pregnancy complication that resulted in being seen in the ER at home several times and then eventually at UK. The ER nasal packing while necessary was a very traumatic experience. My ER follow up was with Dr. Saini. Dr. Saini was the only physician to ask consent for any procedures and explain treatment options. He was also the first physician in the entire process that I felt heard and understood as a patient. Dr. Saini is both highly intelligent but also compassionate which can be hard to find in a physician. I continue to see Dr. Saini for regular follow up and monitoring. I without hesitation recommend Dr. Saini.

Dr. Saini is an outstanding physican. After identifying a significant issue with one of my sinuses. My doctor sent me to see Dr. Saini. The initial visit went well. He was knowledgeable, informative, and great to work with. At his recommendation, we moved forward with surgery for the affected sinus. Surgery went extremely well. He visited with my wife before, during and after the surgery. He has a very comforting demeanor and tone. I would recommend Dr. Saini to anyone, He’s one of , If not the best doctor I’ve worked with .

I do not recommend this guy at all! He did not take the time to listen, instead relying on medical students and showing no interest in my case. He looked at his phone as soon as he finished talking to me (a total of 3 minutes face-to-face visit). What a waste of time and copay!!! What a joke. Please consult with another ENT specialist.

Since 2008 I have been having year round allergies with multiple yearly sinus infections, constant daily running nose, and sinus pain everyday. I did some research on cryoblation and thought Dr. Saini could help me. Over 3 visits, with an in office endoscopy, blood work and a CT. He had nothing to offer me and sent me to another specialist for headaches. I saw him for maybe 15 minutes total between these visits, costing me over $1100.00 According to the AMA CPT (for procedures) a consultation needs a request for consultation, reason for request, Services rendered and a report to the consult request physician. My primary care Doctor did not request a consult, it was actually a referral and when I followed up with her, she did not have the report. They got away with this extra charge despite not following the protocol from AMA. I also need to add that on the first visit, the in office endoscopy (took about 2 minutes) was done on this visit only. This procedure on its own was for $550.00 just for viewing the inside of my nose. Then they had the audacity to charge this procedure again on the third visit. I had to contact my insurance to have this taken off. I will never go to UK ever again, dying or not. I have noticed that healthcare in KY is ridiculously high, having regular insurance through work with a high deductible and not Medicare or Medicaid, the healthcare facilities really must love when me or my son come in for any medical care, the enormous bills really reflect this.
