Dr. Baldwin isn't just a bariatric surgeon - he's a partner in transformation, a source of hope, and a reminder that change is always possible. From the very first consultation, he made me feel seen, heard, and understood. He didn't just talk about surgery; he talked about my goals, my fears, and the life I wanted to create for myself and my family. He explained every step of the journey with clarity and compassion, making sure I knew I wasn't walking this path alone. His encouragement was unwavering, and his belief in my ability to succeed lit a spark in me that I hadn't felt in years. The surgery was only one part of the story - The real magic was in the way Dr. Baldwin celebrated every victory, no matter how small. Whether it was walking a little farther, feeling more energetic, or simply smiling at my reflection, he reminded me that progress is about so much more than numbers in a scale. If you're ready to take a step toward a healthier, more confident version of yourself, Dr. Baldwin will be your guide, your cheerleader, and your biggest supporter. With his skill, compassion, and belief in your potential, you'll discover that the life you've been dreaming of is not only possible - it's waiting for you.

Dr. Yu is an outstanding surgeon. He was thorough, explained everything clearly, and made me feel completely at ease before my procedure. Recovery went smoothly and his follow-up care was excellent. Highly recommend Dr. Yu to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate doctor.

When I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, I quickly realized not all care is the same. I had interactions with other providers along the way, but I never felt truly seen or prioritized—until I met Dr. Caravella. From the beginning, he treated my case with the urgency it deserved. There was no delay, no complacency—within two weeks of my diagnosis, he had me in surgery. Shortly after, he ensured my chemo port was placed so treatment could begin without interruption. What stood out just as much as his decisiveness was his empathy. He didn’t approach me like just another case—he understood the gravity of what I was facing and made sure I felt it through his actions, not just his words. After surgery, I learned that 4 out of 17 lymph nodes tested positive. It made it clear how aggressive this was and how close it was to becoming fully metastatic. Waiting even a little longer could have changed everything. I understand that in medicine, there are systems, schedules, and metrics—just like in any profession. But from where I stand, this wasn’t just another case. It was my life. Because of his ability to act quickly and his commitment to doing things the right way, I truly believe he saved my life. And while this may be part of what he does every day, it will never feel ordinary to me. I’ll never forget it—thank you, Dr. Caravella, for giving me a second chance at life.

I recently underwent sigmoid surgery performed by Dr. Peter Caravella, MD and I couldn't be more grateful for the level of professionalism and care I received. Dr Caravella treated me with respect, dignity and confidence from the very beginning, and everything went smooth according to plan. His skill and professionalism are truly exceptional, and I am now healing Will thanks to his work. I also want to express my appreciation for Sandra, Peter's assistant . she guided me through all of the pre -and post- surgery instructions and helped my wife with the FMLA paperwork. She was patient, organized, and made the entire process much easier. Overall my experience was excellent from start to finish, I highly recommend Dr.caravella and his team to anyone in need of surgical care.

I was a patient of Dr. Melissa Miles, who has now ghosted me twice due to doctor greed. She was at a different practice, and she did a colorectal surgery that I needed. A little while after the surgery I tried to get followup care and found out she changed practices. She didnt warn me that might happen before the surgery. I couldnt really get followup care for that surgery. So then I had to go to my doctor and get a referral for GI AGAIN and then an appointment to the GI office. When that finally came, he sent me to Dr. Miles' new practice. More than a year after my surgery I got to have my followup appointment. She then said I have a very painful issue and gave me meds. She said the problem might come back but that I didnt need to make an appointment because she would give me unlimited refills of the meds. I've been using that whenever it comes back, but I do have to take sick days for this issue sometimes. I called this office to ask if they could look at my chart and tell me if the doctor would do it for me. I called before I even got the papers from HR because I didnt want to waste time. They had a medical assistant call me back who said yes she would fill out the form, no problem, just bring the form in. On his advice, I got the paperwork from HR and started the ticking clock before they deny me. I promptly turned the paper in to this office. Later that day, they called me back to say they don't even fill out forms for intermittent issues at all, only surgery. If they would have said so on the phone, I would've not started the clock. They also told me I cant even get an appointment with the doctor because the insurance company dropped their practice due to overcharging state employees, ghosting me the 2nd time. Avoid this awful office.
