I met with 3 surgeons before deciding on Dr Chen to do my procedure. My silicone implants had ruptured. I didn’t want to replace them with more implants which meant I would have to go through another explant surgery in the future. Dr Chen actually listened to what I wanted and didn’t try to sell me on another pair of implants like the other surgeons did. She listened to my concerns, and my preferences. Liposuction and fat transfer to my breasts clearly would not look the same as having implants but she respected that I was perfectly happy with having a natural look. Dr Chen was confident in doing my procedure and did not try to convince me that I needed bigger implants with a breast lift and install some kind of mesh thing, like some of the other surgeons had tried to sell me on. She listened, gave me her feed back as to what I should expect with the results, listened some more, then confidently told me yes Lipo with fat transfer was a good decision for the look I would be happy with. Dr Chen called me to check in the evening after my surgery, answered my questions, and we scheduled a pre-op so she could see how I was recovering. I experienced very little pain and bruising after the surgery, in fact I was able to go on a short walk with my little dog the very next day and everyday after. I was able to go back to work fairly soon. I have had a smooth recovery overall, I have experienced very little to no pain, and I am very happy with the results. Most of all I know with Dr Chen, I have made the right choice for me. Honestly I don’t know why it was so difficult for the other surgeons to understand that I didn’t want pornstar boobs going into my 60’s and 70’s.

My teenage daughter developed breast early, and by the time she started in high school, they were very large, pendulous and asymmetrical. One was a DD and the other was a D. They did not fit her petite frame. She was always in physical discomfort and subject to unwanted attention due to her breasts. We met with a few plastic surgeons to discuss a breast reduction and lift. We ultimately decided to go with Dr Chen for a couple of reasons. I was particularly impressed with her pediatric specialization and experience working with children/teens. Most plastic surgeons don’t have this type of specialization and some wouldn’t even consider performing the procedure on a minor. My daughter and I both really appreciated her patient, respectful manner. She validated my daughter’s concerns and reasons for wanting the procedure in a way that made her feel understood. She answered all of our questions and helped us both feel comfortable and safe. The procedure went very smoothly and the communication throughout was excellent. But I think I was most impressed with their post-recovery follow up. She doesn’t do the procedure and then leave you on your own. We continued weekly check ups for nearly 2 months afterwards, which was so reassuring as her body healed. I didn’t expect that level of post op care and attention. They were with us for every step of the healing process, answering all of our questions, reassuring us on the progress. All bodies heal differently so it can be hard to know what’s normal, etc. so having that weekly check up was hugely reassuring. They genuinely cared about her and it showed. The end result was extremely natural and subtle. My daughter is thrilled to have breasts that are lifted and more proportionate to her frame. It was such a happy day when we were able to go shopping for a new bra and she could finally fit into a B/C cup. I was extremely hesitant about having this procedure performed, but I have zero regrets. Dr Chen and her team were amazing and I cannot recommend them enough.

My Fiance had an Abdominoplasty and liposuction with Dr. Joyce Chen about 4 weeks ago. The results are amazing! First off, her stomach looks perfectly fit and natural. Aside from the scar, which is still healing you would never know that she had this procedure done. The surgery itself went perfectly and recovery was not as hard as we anticipated. Dr. Chen is an artist and sculpted my fiances stomach impeccably, she is polite humble and very informative. We would totally recommend Dr. Chen to anyone who is looking to do an Abdominoplasty .

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Joyce Chen. From our very first meeting, I felt understood and cared for. She truly listened to my story of having 38 year old ruptured implants and due to rearing children and a divorce, I had not made the explant surgery a priority. Her soft-spoken, well-mannered ways made me feel very comfortable and confident, and she was exactly what I was looking for in my decision to move forward with the removal of the old implants, and placing new ones with a lift. Her kindness and professionalism throughout the entire process was remarkable. I highly recommend Dr. Joyce Chen to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled plastic surgeon.

Very Disappointed – Would Not Recommend Dr. Joyce Chen came across as professional at first, but her bedside manner was terrible after surgery. Three months after getting breast implants, one completely deflated. She showed little concern and talked about her personal issues while I stood there upset and undressed. She didn’t waive her fee for the second surgery, and when I expressed frustration, her staff told me I could go elsewhere. I paid upfront and have been asking for a refund for over a month with no response. I’m now taking her to small claims court. Stay far away.
