Face Forward Houston: Regina Rodman M.D.

After consulting with about six other surgeons all over the country, I ultimately decided to have my procedure done with Dr. Rodman. This Doctor was the first person I spoke with about my 2nd chin implant revision. Thats a total of three separate surgeries just for the chin. Her approach involved shaving down the existing implant as opposed to replacing it. A couple of other doctors recommended replacing it with an expensive custom implant which came with its own set of potential complications. The main one being that completely removing an implant and replacing it can be more traumatic than just sculpting what is there. The doctors who suggested this couldn't really explain the drawbacks of shaving and I think it was because they were bent on selling a custom implant. I had no less than 4 video consultations with Dr. Rodman, which was never a problem for her, and we went into a lot of technical details which I also very much appreciated. With other doctors it always seemed like it was hard and frowned upon to approach them with follow-up questions or consultations. In the end, it was this feeling of trust that I had in my tummy that gave me the confidence to trust Dr. Rodman. Now finally with just 6 days post-op, my chin looks more normal than it ever has since I started this chin implant journey. My advice when it comes to implants is to pay close attention to the size and shape of the implant you are considering so you don't end up in the same position as I did with 2 chin revisions. If some procedure doesn't give you the result that you had hoped for, then this doctor is who you should see.

From the very first time I spoke with Dr. Rodman during my consultation, I felt truly heard, She took an entire hour to walk me through every detail explaining what she would do, listening to my concerns, and offering thoughtful recommendations. Throughout the entire process, the experience was just incredible. Everyone in her team was so sweet, and I loved that the whole office and surgery team was all women, it made me feel so safe and supported. Even though I’m still healing, I’m absolutely in love with my results, and I can’t thank Dr. Rodman and her team enough—truly a 10/10 experience!

From the initial contact with the receptionist, Natalie, to the appointment and procedure with Dr. Rodman, I was truly impressed by the level of precision and care throughout the entire experience. I can't even express how happy I am with the whole process of my surgery! Since the beginning, the staff has been very welcoming and helpful with all my questions and concerns. Also, Dr. Regina was very kind and professional and honestly made me feel very comfortable. Hands down, the best surgeon I ever worked with! I trust her with any surgery in my face and it's hard for me to say that for any other person. I highly recommend her!!

Bait and Switch! I very much liked Dr. Rodman, but unfortunately was given a much lower estimate on the phone, just so they could get my consultation. I was told over the phone the estimate for a chin implant and deep plane neck lift was $16,000. I was willing to pay that amount and schedule my consultation. I paid $150 and flew from Phoenix to Houston for this consultation. Before Dr. Rodman came in, the patient coordinator told my mother and I again, the estimate for those two procedures was about $16,000 with facility and anesthesia fees included. As this was an estimate I was prepared for maybe a 10% difference as that is reasonable with how pricing changes. However, after meeting with Dr. Rodman and deciding I was interested in moving forward with the chin implant and deep plane neck lift I was quoted 25% higher at over $20,000. That is truly unacceptable, and honestly they should refund my consultation fee for this shady practice. The coordinator tried to say that she can’t give me the exact amount until she knows how much time to book, but it’s not like the procedures changed and Dr. Rodman didn’t say I was a complicated case or anything. She tried to claim that the facility and anesthesia team increased their prices…. So in just a few weeks they increased their prices $4k?!? Definitely made me lose trust in the practice, which is unfortunate bc I was ready to book with Dr. Rodman.
