I have been a patient at the Breast Center for 26 years, and this review is long overdue. Over the years, I’ve had many experiences — biopsies, scares, and plenty of anxiety. Yet not once have I left without feeling cared for, respected, and reassured by the incredible team here. Yesterday I had my mammogram, and I was assisted by two wonderful techs, Gladys and Katrina. Their warmth, professionalism, and kindness made all the difference. Dr. Margaret Emy and Dr. Gail Starr are both exceptional — compassionate, skilled, and always take the time to make sure I understand everything. And Kali, my ultrasound tech, was gentle, thorough, and truly put me at ease. After 26 years as a patient, I can confidently say the Breast Center continues to set the standard for compassionate, expert care. I’m deeply grateful to everyone there for their dedication and kindness throughout my years as a patient.

I am giving 3 stars, I love this center but this voice center to leave a message to get a call back in 24hrs to schedule just an appointment is honestly beyond silly. I have work, I am told I have to wait for 24hrs for a call back to schedule an appointment? That's unbelievable, so they expect me to stay attached to my phone and ignore my job during working hours to schedule an appointment? This is unbelievable and unprofessional. I know it's not the breast center fault, its probably someone high up who thought this was a good idea but it's not. I should be able to call someone directly up and discuss availability while I HAVE FREE TIME, like it used to be. This is not patient care at all. If I am working and miss the call I am expected to play phone tag? This is unethical and deters people from receiving proper care.

This location is awful. Always a long wait. They are always behind. Wait times are ridiculous. If u have an appt here, be prepared to wait hours

I have been coming here for years. Today the front desk secretary was more concerned about my script being incorrectly written by my doctor than my actual health. She let me wait and allowed everyone to go before me while she waited for my doctors office to send the script by fax. I explained that I could not wait because I had to pick up my son from school which is why I scheduled my appointment for the time I did. She insisted that she had to receive the fax before she can register me. I explained that the mammogram center in Paramus saw me without my script this year because they were genuinely concerned about my health and not a piece of paper. I then told her to reschedule my appointment because I could not wait any longer and she said you don’t want to wait 5 more minutes? I said no I can’t. There’s 4 women ahead of me now that weren’t ahead of me when I got here. And I then said I don’t ever want to come back here to be honest with you. It is really sad that an institution of this magnitude would prioritize a piece of paper over a life. They should teach their employees to never let a piece of paper be more important than getting screened. She knew I was a high risk patient. Very sad.

They were great before they opened the Maywood location. I'm a B cup and I have a biopsy marker. I found even when stating that I don't want a new Mammogram tech that the Tech will take retake after retake for just a screening Mammogram. I had to stop her at one point and ask her why she kept taking SO many scans and she said first there was a skin fold, next she missed a spot, next she wants to get the marker better. Do they realize that over use of X ray machines is exposing me to unnecessary additional radiation?! I got a text before I even left that my results were done, wow, did they glance at ALL those images and compare them? Fast results ard nice but this was too fast, thankfully I have to get a Ultrasound at the University and they do seem to do a better job. Last year I went somewhere else and I was happy that it was a simple, fast mammogram that didn't require any extra pictures because the tech knew how to take a mammogram and wasn't new to the field.
