Everyone has been really nice with me throughout my whole surgery journey. Dr. Nemir and her staff are excellent. She’s an excellent doctor, responds to all my concerns. Her Nurse, Ms. Angie is also very helpful and resourceful. And her assistant Ms. Anita is always very friendly and helps with paper and everything else that is needed immediately. Dr. Silva and his team, is a rare find as far as both a surgeon and person! I have chronic pancreatitis and other health issues and was referred to him to undergo surgery. I must say from the initial visit to now he has reinforced my belief in Doctors , he is empathetic, takes time talking with you formulating your plan of care. While inpatient I had surgery and recovery time and he was hands on daily. It's no fun being sick, needing surgery etc but having a Dr. Like him on your side helps to tremendously calm your nerves. So, thank you Dr. Silva and Texas Tech for everything!!

Dr. Diamond and his staff are amazing people. The care i received was stellar. The patients and compasion off each and everyone is beyond comparison. I would highly recommend Dr. Diamond and his staff.

Doctor Philip Fidler has given my brother the best care possible showing professionalism and compassion. My brother suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns and was received at once at the trauma center at the UMC Hospital. He had a total of 4 surgeries he was in the hospital for a whole month all preformed by Dr. Fidler and couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon the best. I was so scared when we got to the hospital that my brother would have to be flown to Lubbock due to the burn wounds knowing that we didn’t have a burn unit here in El Paso, I was surprised when I was informed that we now do have a burn unit here at UMC Hospital and that my brother could stay here and receive the best care. My brother has an intellectual disability, mild autism and has seizures as well. All the doctors at the ICU took great care of him and I would like to let them know how greatly they are all appreciated for doing their jobs so passionately the type of doctors you see that really enjoy and love doing their job by just watching them every single day I was able to tell they’re not the type that are there for a paycheck. Dr. Fidler,Dr. Malory, Dr. Peppy and one more doctor who was always quiet in the back but very observant and was always hands on first, he always wears black scrubs I could never remember his name. My brother is still on the road to recovery and is doing well. I would like to thank every single one of the doctors for showing compassion, kindness and empathy to my brother at a time when he couldn’t express himself and allowing me to always be by his side speaking and advocating for him, and know that I will forever be grateful and have you in my prayers. (I have no way of thanking any of you in person I hope everyone of the doctors gets to read this)
