High Desert Oral & Facial Surgery

Dr Furchgott is pretty amazing. The tech…the team and the treatment all 5 stars. I had an implant placed…and I am a dentist….I am stunned that I am pain free….zero pain. I am awed by Dr Furchgott’s attention to me, details and how she manages her team. Donna was awesome…and I cannot recall the other names. I cannot recommend a provider and a Company more. I am so elated to refer all of my specialty needs to HDOFS. Today, what really happened, is Dr Furchgott created a raving fan. To top it off, she is funny, engaging and simply beautiful. Take this review seriously. I have been practicing dentistry for almost 30 years. I have been treated by multiple providers. This was the most singularly exceptional experience of my life. Choose another office at your peril. No need to ever look anywhere else. Period.

Went to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Furchtgott. Fantastic experience. I was extremely nervous since I had never had a tooth pulled in my life. Everything went smoothly. I highly recommend High Desert and Dr. Furchtgott. Can’t forget the team (nurse and dental assistants), they were all great. Thanks a million. If I ever need another tooth pulled, I will come back.

I was referred to Dr. Lam to have my wisdom teeth extracted, which was also causing an infection to develop on the inside of my left cheek. The young lady at the front desk who assisted me in checking in as a new patient was very nice and very helpful. I then met with Dr. Lam, Jorge, Mayra, and I must say they each took care of me in such a professional and gentle way. I was very nervous about the whole scenario and procedure, but Dr. Lam and his staff definitely exceeded my expectations in providing me with great care and support to take care of my problem. As they all had reassured me, thankfully my procedure went well and I couldn’t begin to express how thankful I am to each of them for the excellent work and customer service that was given to me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for assistance due to experiencing oral issues. Thank you Dr. Lam and staff, you guys are amazing and wonderful!!!

I recently had a dental extraction performed by Dr. Fürchtgott, and the entire experience was far better than I expected. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable during what could have been a stressful procedure. Dr. Fürchtgott was very thorough in explaining the process beforehand, answering my questions clearly and making sure I understood what to expect. During the extraction itself, the procedure was quick and surprisingly smooth. I felt well taken care of the entire time, and the doctor was attentive to making sure I was comfortable. The aftercare instructions were also explained clearly, which helped make recovery easier. Overall, the professionalism, skill, and patient care provided by Dr. Fürchtgott and the team made this a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend Dr. Fürchtgott to anyone needing dental work, especially if you’re feeling nervous about a procedure like an extraction. The level of care and attention made a big difference.

I had a number 19 bottom molar taken out that had very long roots and that my regular dentist, who is very good and experienced, said we're intertwined with other teeth roots so he couldn't do the job and since I'm a veteran the VA referred me to High Desert Oral and Facial Surgery and I had Dr. Lam who is a very young looking doctor but did a terrific job. It's been a full 3 days and I have had very little pain or swelling and he had to tap tap a few times. He explained it all up front and even though there is a jolt when it's done it's not really painful because of the novocaine or whatever it is that they give nowadays. I gave five stars because of Dr Lam and how well he did. If I was able to give the administration part a rating also it would be 3 1/2 to maybe four stars because not only is everything redundant from what they already had from the VA but it took about an hour to do where is the actual surgery took about 15 to 20 minutes. Also when the front desk asked me for my pharmacy choice they said it was just in case I needed a prescription and even though Dr Lam wrote three prescriptions for me I didn't know about it until I had called the office about something a day later. Matt, the 18-year-old dental assistant that took care of me was very knowledgeable and thorough and I was quite impressed for his age. However he repeated the word " perfect" after just about every answer I gave and that made me wonder if he had actually heard me properly. It seems my assumption was correct because Dr. Lam prescribed for me ibuprofen and Tylenol, which I understand is very normal, however I had told Matt that I could not take ibuprofen and that I didn't need tylenol because I receive that from VA and have plenty. I don't know if it was Matt who forgot to tell Dr Lam or Dr Lam just ordered it because he does for every patient. I called the office and spoke with Matt so hopefully it will help him but I also put it on here so anyone who reads this and goes to High Desert at 601 Sunland Park, El Paso Texas will be aware that they really need to make sure they are heard properly. Again Dr Lam did a terrific job!
