I absolutely highly recommend the UTSW plastics resident clinic. I highly recommend Dr Riccelli he is amazing! He did tummy tuck with lipo, and rib reconstruction and my results are absolutely phenomenal. I also had breast augmentation with him and he did an amazing job with my surgeries. I went for consult told him what I was looking for and it made it happen. The nurses are very nice and attentive, the staff Drs amazing as well.

Dr Tomur, Dr Hoxworth and the surgery team took good care of my upper eyelid surgery. My friends already asked about the doctors and I would recommend that UTSW Residence Plastic Surgery is a great place to change our look. Thank you 🙏

Went in for a plastic surgery consult and somehow got hit with unsolicited medical advice from a resident who clearly thinks a stethoscope makes him a general physician. He took one blood pressure reading while I hadn’t eaten or drank water all day and immediately starts talking about hypertension like it’s a confirmed diagnosis. No second reading. No context. Just vibes. Then comes the classic “your BMI is too high” line. I’m 6’0”, 225, and I lift. BMI is a trash metric for anyone with actual muscle, but I guess that doesn’t matter when your knowledge stops at what the chart says. I literally explained that I have muscle mass and that BMI doesn’t apply to people like me. He nodded, pretended to understand, and still told me I need to lose weight and go to a clinic to get checked for high blood pressure and probably start meds. Off. One. Reading. Next day? Blood pressure was 120/83. Perfectly normal. Like I said. You’re a plastic surgery resident. You’re not my primary care doctor. Stick to the mirror work and leave actual health conversations to people who know what they’re doing. Also the lack of unprofessionalism at this place is astounding. After my time with the resident some coordinator came in to explain the cost of my procedure. When I had questions and concerns she walked out to ask the resident. When she walked out I heard her telling her colleagues about my concerns and they all proceeded to laugh everytime. I asked her about local anesthesia (widely known type of anesthesia) instead of general anesthesia and she thought I was requesting no anesthesia for my procedure and that’s when she gossiped to her colleagues. She didn’t even know what local anesthesia is. Waste of time. The system’s cooked, and this just confirmed it.
