Fernandez Robert A MD

Dr. Fernandez performed emergency surgery on our son's thumb at 11pm at night over the Christmas break. We were from out of town and extremely scared our son would lose his thumb. I'm still in awe of how Dr. Fernandez put it back together! We are 3 weeks post op and continue to be amazed everyday he is going to be able to have normal function eventually. Dr. Fernandez is the best in his field!

I am very pleased with Dr. Fernandez, he is one of the only plastic surgeon's in Corpus Christi that leaves you in the hospital overnight depending on your procedure and is very attentive to your needs. I had a tummy tuck and lypo, I did not experience any excruciating pain as he provided a great pain relief with a pain pump and pain meds. I am 9 months post op and my incision is healing very well and I believe he is an overall great physician and very caring. I highly recommend Dr. Fernandez for any of your surgical needs.

First off he's a great surgeon. He removed the stitches and my scar is looking great. My first visit i was still dealing with a concussion the receptionist got onto my wife for putting my initials on the sign in sheet even after she explained i was suffering from concussion dizziness. We then had to wait an hour and a half past our original appointment time. The 2nd visit we had to wait over an hour past. We confirmed with another patient that they double book appointment spots

They say he's cheap. We'll you will get what you pay for. Set an appointment for consultation weeks in advance. I show up early to fill any paperwork needed. This guy wasn't even there. Reception put me in a room. Ten minute wait, after my set appointment time, he shows up. Asked what I wanted. Three minutes later he gives me a gown. Says to change and he'll be right back. The guy had me waiting 25 min while he was seeing other patients!!!!!! I had paid an office fee when I arrived. Most physicians ask for payment after visit. This guy still got my money and I never received my consultation. I left after waiting for 45 minutes. Unprofessional Disrespectful And a waste of time. Flat out has no regards for anyone, if he's constantly making clients /patients waiting on him.

Was referred to Dr Fernandez from Bay Area ER with a severed tendon, was told he was expecting me. When I called his office the receptionist wouldn't accept me without a referral and asked who my insurance was with. I told them I could use the VA as 100% disabled vet or Humana/ Tricare Prime as a military retiree. receptionist told me without the referral no appointment. Needless to say, my finger is holding on by 2 stiches. After 4 hours, was able to get Humana/Tricare Prime referral to his office. Only to have the receptionist and then office manager state, since I mentioned the VA as a possible source for referral, they told me that DR Fernandez would not except me. Do not use Dr, Fernandez, his office has horrible customer relationship and definitely not Veteran friendly!
