Dr. Susan D. Vasko, MD | Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery

Back in 2003 I went to Dr Susan Vasko for a breast reduction and let me tell you my life was CHANGED. The one thing I most remember is that I asked her if she ever considered herself an Artist and she said NO! Well coming from a family of artists, one of us a published, award winning Ohio AND national Artist! she absolutely IS an artist and I am so appreciative of her. Thank you Dr Vasko!!!

Dr. Vasko performed my breast reduction a couple of weeks ago. She gave me realistic expectations for the outcome and answered any questions that I had. Her staff is great, especially her patient coordinator. I'd definitely recommend her.

Dr. Vasko did my breast reduction, my brachioplasty, liposuction of my abdomen, and two reductions of my side boob. I look like Frankinstein. I am pretty sure the nurse does the closing stitches. Dr. Vasko quit on my abdomen liposuction because I was in so much pain. Although, I was still charged the full amount. I had a massage therapist say my arms are gnarly. You pay for a good plastic surgeon, but why is a nurse closing? I met someone that had her brachioplasty done in northeast Ohio, and her arm lines were perfectly straight. I work hard for my money, and trusted Dr. Vasko. I am embarrassed by the work that she did.

Update- Over 5 years later and I wish I had gone to someone else that would have actually listened to what I wanted and would have made the correct decision. She knew what I came for and what I paid for and she did not deliver. I regret what she did every day. My scars still hurt too and I have a skin fold sewn shut. I've been trying to decide for months if I should post a review, and what I should say. I'm now months healed from a breast reduction operation with Dr. Vasko. I would say that unfortunately she over-promised and under-delivered. I don't know if it was any fault of her own, but she said that she had to keep a certain amount for blood flow. It was just a larger size than what we had spoken about and I had seen pictures of. I have had very oversensitive nipples since the operation and before the surgery I did mention that I was fine if any feeling was cut off. It was just a different outcome than what I expected. After 6 weeks any pain was gone, after three months I was healed enough to go back to full manual labor. I have been fully healed for some time and I also start the morning with a 2 mile jog that I wasn't able to do before. After the surgery, I have found the incision sites while healed are very irritated with activity. I will have to get the ends of the incision on both sides towards my sternum re-cut because I seem to have pinched skin that gets very irritated on a daily basis because of the way that it was sown up. I had no problems with any infection or anything the entire time. All instructions were followed and it was kept well cleaned. I also bought the bras and did everything I was supposed to but where the liposuction was around the ends I seem to have just as much fat deposits as before the surgery. I will most likely have a reconstruction down the road, I need it. So this review is really just to anyone thinking that this is a one-stop-shop. It's not. It's a process, and I don't know if I'll have the work that I need done by Dr. Vasko because I'm not sure that it will heal any differently with the same surgeon.

Susan Vasko was my surgeon 7 years ago and performed my breast reduction. She botched it and I have undergone 3 more surgeries to try to fix the issue. They still are very uneven. She left me with two different sized breasts and areolas. She removed a significant amount from one breast and about half as much from the other breast. This is all backed up by the notes she left regarding what she did during the procedure. I’m surprised by all the negative reviews regarding her breast reductions that she hasn’t had her license revoked. She has no compassion and she never once was sympathetic or sorry for what she had done.
