After my breast cancer diagnosis I was referred to Dr.Dorafshar and Dr.Wang. Both highly regarded and skilled surgeons at OSF Peoria Oncology Surgery. Both put me at ease with visits that were not rushed as surgery options were explained and discussed. This diagnosis was made much easier to handle because of the cooperation of both surgeons & their teams. Dr. Dorafshar’s physician assistant, Rebecca Kath, clearly explained what to expect with breast reduction surgery which would immediately follow my partial mastectomy by Dr. Wang. My surgeries were a complete success. Dr. Dorafshar’s commitment to excellence gave me amazing results! I would highly recommend these surgeons and their teams after my excellent experiences & care.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer July of 2025. The care I got from the entire team was exceptional. Everyone was thorough, thoughtful and professional. I found out that I would have to get a mastectomy of my left breast. My PA, Rebecca Kath walked me through everything. I asked for a nipple sparing surgery and a nerve graft. Dr. Dorafshar was assigned to my case. I was told that the nerve graft might not be successful but that they would try. It was a success, and I am very happy with the results! I am having some nerve pain here and there which tells me that the nerves are healing. My breast looks great! I would highly recommend this team of medical professionals. They are caring and skilled.

I recently had a breast reconstruction after having to have a double mastectomy. Dr. Dorafshar and Rebecca Kath are the only two I would ever want to go through this with. They were both willing to answer any questions and have the deep conversations of expectations to put me at ease. They made me feel like I was talking to a friend that was going to be there through it all. And they were! I was nervous the day of surgery and after seeing them and talking with them in preop, I knew I was in great hands. The after care has also been amazing as the whole team has been there for me. I would recommend Dr. Dorafshar and his staff over and over again! They are the best!

I had an amazing experience with my burring jaw reduction (osteonomy). Dr. Dorafshar's attention to detail, passion, and patience were so comforting. From talking to him it seems like he really does this out of care and love for his work. I read he started with reconstructive surgery which says a lot about his experience. My results were exactly what I wanted. He even recommended some touches to get closer to what I wanted that I would never consider (fat graft to chin cleft and reduction of the masseter muscle). I asked about some other surgeries and he could easily have pushed me to get more, but he dissuaded me from it based on genuine concern. He even warned me before that I might want more if I get one surgery. But I don't, couldn't be happier! Also it was always a pleasure talking to Gwen at the desk, that diva needs a tipout lol! So sweet and super helpful with the billing and insurance side of things. Clearly doing her best to sort everything out to the best of her ability.
