Dr. Riley is awesome. She explained the benefits of a medication more thoroughly than it had been before. I'd forgotten to mention an issue until she just left the room; she saw someone else and then came back for a minute. I'm so grateful

Dr. Jennifer did a fantastic job removing my precancerous spots on my face and chest. She works more minimally invasive than previous Derms I have used, and is more aware of the cosmetic implications than any other Derm I have used. Would highly recommend Jennifer at West Dermatology in Carlsbad!

Elaine at West Dermatology is very knowledgeable about skincare and skincare products. I always have a great facial with her and my skin always looks and feels better afterwards. I deal with acne and rosacea at 71! She tailors the facial to target my aging skin and issues. Very pleased I found her. Booked another one next month.

The appointments that I've had in the past all went well and the staff was competent. However, over my last several appointments, which I have booked out months in advance, the office has called about a week out from my appointment to say that they can no longer honor the appointment and I will have to reschedule. However, the next dates they can offer me are well over a month out from when I was supposed to have my initial check. Unhelpful phone staff and unwilling to re-book appointments that they can no longer honor within a reasonable timeframe. I think this is entirely unprofessional conduct and I will be changing practices.

If I could give zero stars, I would do so without hesitation. This office’s handling of appointments is unacceptable. My wife’s December appointment was canceled by the office and rescheduled for late January. When she finally arrived for that January appointment, she checked in five minutes late. However, due to the receptionist taking an excessive amount of time checking in other patients ahead of her, my wife was not addressed until 16 minutes after her scheduled appointment time. Despite multiple people in line confirming she arrived prior to the 16 minutes, the office claimed she was “six minutes too late” totally ignoring the fact that the delay was entirely caused by their own front desk inefficiency. As a result, they canceled her appointment yet again and are forcing her to reschedule. My wife works two jobs and must rearrange her work schedule every time this office fails to manage theirs. Penalizing patients for delays caused by your own staff is unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unreasonable. This experience reflects extremely poor management and a lack of respect for patients and their time.
