Dr. Gowen was my plastic surgery after my breast cancer diagnosis. She is a skilled, compassionate doctor. She took time explaining the process, answer all questions. I would highly recommend her.

Too many times, we’ve all been guilty of only leaving reviews when we have something negative to say. I want to try to change that by giving Dr. Gowan a glaring review for the experience that I had with her Back in February for my surgery. It was a pretty major surgery and from the time I met her initially through all of my follow up visits, She was kind and warm and caring, and never seemed like any question that I asked was too much. She even gave me her cell phone number after the surgery in case I needed anything that weekend. I highly recommend her both from a bedside manner perspective as well as from surgical precision Perspective. Everything turned out great I had no complications, no infections and the end result has been fantastic.

Dr. Gorman performed my breast reduction (a while ago). She was so kind and very professional. She explained everything to me and took great care of me. The surgery went really well. I had very little pain (I do recommend spending about a week doing nothing, if you have that luxury). My biggest problem was the itching! As everything healed the itching was pretty intense. I took some meds which helped. I healed beautifully and wish I had it done years ago. It was life changing. Back pain is completely gone and I am so, so much more comfortable in my own body. Another bonus you can wear clothes that actually fit! I give Dr. Gorman a 10 out of 10!

I recently had a keloid removed by Doctor Gowen on my ear and my whole experience with Bryn Mawr skin and cancer was amazing. Dr. Gowen is such a great surgeon and is so kind. Her staff was friendly as well, Becky and Shea are wonderful. I felt comfortable and heard during all my appointments and am very happy with my results. Thank you Dr. Gowen and staff !

I had MOHS surgery on my nose by Dr. Capriotti @ Bryn Mawr Skin&Cancer Cirillo in August 2022. My MOHS procedure was very extensive leaving a large wound almost to the cartilage on my nose. I was turned over to Dr. Gowen for the wound closure. She informed me I would need a skin graft taking skin from my neck. She also told me I was her third graft of the day and she still had another patient waiting. I feel she was rushed and anxious to move on to the next patient so she did what was quickest not what would yield the best result. I was left with a deep crater and scarring which she later admitted was what she expected. Friends& family would say "you should have gone to a plastic surgeon" When I told them the closure was done by a plastic surgeon they'd say "not a very good one!" In consultations with other plastic surgeons who saw the post MOHS photo they all said they would have done some type of flap closure not just a graft. In my opinion Dr. Gowen is inept and should be avoided!!!!!
