I saw Dr. Desai because no one else was up to the task of fixing my complicated nose after other doctors had failed. He exudes confidence, knowledge and a quiet coolness - everything you want in a surgeon. He took time to make sure all my questions were answered and I was well prepared for the procedure and recovery process. His team is organized and efficient and very responsive. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Desai is truly one of the best. After a botched septo-rhinoplasty, I was having significant trouble breathing and set out to figure out what was going on. I saw two ENTs before finding Dr. Desai. Both of these doctors told me the issue was just a 'slightly deviated septum,' which didn’t come close to explaining the severity of my symptoms. That’s when I made the trip to Bethesda. Within minutes of examining me, Dr. Desai identified multiple structural problems that the previous doctors had completely overlooked. A few months later, I've had corrective surgery with Dr. Desai and the difference is night and day. I can finally breathe again. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

I’m so thankful to have found a surgeon that can successfully correct my deviated septum and collapsed nasal passages. Even more lucky that this same surgeon can correct the physical appearance of my nose all in one procedure! Dr. Desai is very talented at his craft and having excellent bedside manner is an additional bonus. My breathing has improved immensely and I’m very happy with the appearance of my nose. Dr Desai is an amazing surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone! I unfortunately suffered a traumatic injury to my nose and required surgery to have a closed reduction. His office staff were able to quickly get me an appointment, and Shala his coordinator was amazing at booking my surgery and coordinating all of the back end insurance issues for me. My office visit was convenient, on time, and I love having the patient portal associated with the Hopkins network. Dr.. Desai has excellent bedside manner, and his assessment of my issues was thorough. The surgical experience was seamless- the whole team took amazing care of me. Post-op was exactly as described. I encountered a few questions in the postop period, and they were all answered quickly. My nose looks amazing and I can breathe perfectly- I couldn't be happier! I trusted Dr Desai during this stressful time in my life because I know he has amazing surgical skills, is trained in both ENT and plastics, and cares deeply about his patients and his outcomes. 10/10!

I had a deeply disappointing experience with this surgeon. He was not compassionate, dismissive of my concerns, and came across as arrogant. The lack of empathy was so profound that it brought me to tears. This experience reminded me that being a doctor is not for everyone; it requires genuine care for others.
