She was incredibly kind, respectful, and professional throughout the entire process. Her surgical precision is outstanding—my incisions are clean and healing beautifully. The care team was also amazing, taking time to explain everything beforehand and making me feel comfortable and supported before and after surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Dumestre and her team.

If you are reading this message, you might be experiencing a life-changing situation like the one I faced a little over a year ago when a tumor was detected during a routine mammogram, and are looking for a plastic surgeon to handle your breast reconstruction. In my case, although the tumor was benign, I was referred to a breast oncologist surgeon for a lumpectomy consultation. While the surgeon was comfortable in delaying surgery and keeping an eye on the tumor, I decided to do a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy as that was the third time I had to endure the agony of going through a painful biopsy and waiting for results as well as having a strong family history of breast cancer on my mother side of the family. After making that life changing decision, my breast surgeon referred me to Dr. Danielle Dumestre with Austin Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (APRS) for the breast reconstruction portion of the surgery. When I first met Dr. Dumestre and her team for the consultation, I was immediately impressed not only by her knowledge but also by her compassion and down-to-earth attitude. She explained to me the different breast reconstruction techniques, recovery time, etc. as well as attentively listened to all of my questions and concerns. Dr. Dumestre even honored my request to use a different brand of breast implants than the one that was typically used at APRS at that time, to ensure I had the best outcome for my situation. I had a couple of setbacks not because of anything Dr. Dumestre and/or her team did or did not do, but because that is the nature when undergoing that type of surgery, and Dr. Dumestre, Satina Mastoris (Dr. Dumestre’s PA), and the ARPS staff acted timely and always treated me with care and compassion. I am so thankful for having Dr. Dumestre and her gifted hands as part of my journey. I am so pleased and impressed by Dr. Dumestre’s work that I suggested her to my daughter for her breast reduction surgery. Needless to say, my daughter's surgery went smoothly, and after three months post op, she is ecstatic with the results and for the first time in a long time, eager to.buy summer clothes. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Dumestre. From my consultation, to the day of my surgery, I felt she listened and understood everything I wanted or needed. I truly believe she is an artist at what she does and has this incredible eye for what the end result will be. She is warm, caring and has a way of putting you at ease. Dr. Dumestre is an excellent surgeon. I had a thigh lift and arm. I am stunned at the results. I had naturally very very fat arms and thighs. It took me decades to figure out that no amount of exercise would ever get rid of it. Surgery was the only way. I tried to keep my expectations realistic though, because my arms and legs were so very fat, I told myself I will be happy with any improvement. I certainly did not expect such incredible results. I can hardly believe my eyes when I look in the mirror now. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Dumestre. There is definitely a reason why she has 5 star reviews only.
