I had a great time during my stay. While you didn’t need it, I wish I would have learned a little more Spanish. I hate being useless 😝 All of the doctors and 90% of the nurses spoke perfect English and were warm and caring. Hospital food alone makes me want to consider what is next for me! I would recommend. 1 month post op and loving the results.

While there were a few minor frustrations, overall my experience was good. As it seems like MCC is a relatively newer company, it looks like they are still getting some of the kinks worked out of the process. My coordinator was not as responsive as I would have liked, but as a previous MBC patient, I was able to reach out to others who were able to quickly answer my questions. Before I signed up for my surgery package, I was sent an email stating that all packages included 2 hyperbaric treatments, however, when the nurse told me I would benefit from them, I was told that it would be extra $. Which I did pay, however, I don't think there should be advertised sessions included if that is not actually the case or if there is "fine print" with stipulations. The transportation from the airport to the hotel was smooth. We waited about 30 minutes, once we got to the hotel we filled out paperwork and waited to be checked in to our rooms. While waiting we were able to order a meal from their restaurant (which is delicious and healthy) We had a large group for pre-op testing so it did take a few hours but it was ran very well. When it came time for surgery day, I was told my surgery would be at 3pm. However, it seemed like my doctor was running a bit late. Which is absolutely OK, I wish the communication with the patient was a bit better. I waited a couple hours before anyone came in to update me, and that is when they told me that he should be in within 30 minutes. My doctor was Navarro, and he was incredible. When he arrived he marked me, asked if I was ready and had me in the O.R. within 15 minutes. I am now 7 weeks post op and I have healed amazingly. Everyone that I have seen for post op care just raves about how amazing my incisions look. Some of the nurses are absolutely amazing, and some of them leave much to be desired. While in the hospital, having over 8 feet of incisions, one nurse came in and told me I needed to get up and walk, then turned around and walked out. I physically couldn't maneuver to get out of the bed by myself at that point and he didn't even try to help me. All of my other nurses were amazing. After being discharged to the hotel, I was able to rest a bit better, and was able to manage the pain well with the medications given, it would have been nice to be given a copy of the operative report during the stay for future reference. The nurse who checked in on me daily was amazing, she even washed my faja while I was showering and answered all of my questions as she was checking all the incisions. We had to communicate through translation apps but it worked great. Overall, my experience was a good one, while there were a few hiccups along the way, I have no doubt that MCC will continue to improve with time!

I did extensive research before I decided on MCC. I was scheduled for a circular tummy tuck, breast implants, 360 degree lipo, an arm lift and a BBL. I was told if I brought a companion with me that they would have to find their own transportation back and forth to the hospital and they they wouldn't be allowed to see me till the day after surgery and that would be on a limited basis, I was very disappointed when I arrived to learn that was not the case. I flew in to San Diego and was told I would be met at the airport, I was given a number to call when I arrived to find out where to meet my driver. I ended up having to wait at the airport for 3 + hours before being picked up. At the hotel the next morning when I went down to be picked up I was told that it was actually going to be an hour later. Once I got to the hospital I sat in the waiting room for at least an hour before I was taken to my room. Once in my room they gave me some medication to help me relax because I was so nervous. I ended up falling asleep and woke up an hour after my surgery was supposed to start and I had still never seen the dr. I asked what was going on and was told he had gotten delayed in another hospital, I didn't really understand this since I had been told I was his only patient that day but after many hours was finally told it was at another hospital. About 8 PM DR Navarro finally came to my room, he said he was still willing to do the surgery that night but he believed i may need blood and the blood bank was closed so he wouldn't be able to do all of the surgery I had paid for. He said if I waited till the next day when he had access to blood he could do then all. I opted to wait till the next day. The next morning I was taken in for surgery and when I came out I was told I had lost a lot of blood and needed a transfusion. While I was in surgery the hospital moved me to another room, I had been told I was staying in that room so I had not packed up my things, when they moved me they left some of my things in the room, I asked about it they said it had been thrown away, the hospital did end up reimbursing me for it. One of my surgical drains leaked the entire time I had it and they had to keep changing all of my bandages and bedding because of it. A few days later when the dr finally came to see me i told him the issue and he said he would come and remove it the next day. The following day when I was Once again soaked I asked the nurse to find out when he was going to be there, they just kept saying they couldn't get a hold of him, they changed all of my bandages and I laid in bed all day trying not to move hoping it would stop it from leaking, that did not work. I told the nurse that I was soaked again and they basically said I needed to wait for the dr and hopefully he would be there that night. He never showed up and they made me sit in soaking wet bandages and wet bedding all night. The next day I was being discharged and they came to help me get ready and I had to remind them again I was waiting for the dr to remove the drain, his assistant finally removed it 30 minutes before I was discharged. I had to constantly ask for my pain meds and every time I had to ask multiple times to get them. The whole thing was a terrible experience and I'm very unhappy with my results. I'm still having complications a year later and have to have everything they did fixed. I had to purchase travel insurance incase something happened such as needing blood, the insurance company should reimburse me, i couldn't get MCC to give me the proper documentation that the insurance company requires, they kept saying they can't get it from the hospital and that the DR refused to release it, the insurance company finally reimbursed me without the documentation. I've been told that multiple patients of MCC that had surgery by DR Navarro have come back unsatisfied and with complications and MCC is doing nothing about it. I want back the $20,000 this has cost me so I can get the mess they made fixed. Don't let them scar you for life too.

My advice would be to run far far away from Mexico Cosmetic center and save your money for someone in the states. I am now over 3 weeks post op, I have had to mis several days of work due to continued swelling in my face, neck and eyes that has not subsided. I have been to the emergency department twice, urgent care once, and my primary care twice. I am now being forced to see an ophthalmologist to see what is wrong with my eyes, the whites of my eyes are bulging out and are turning yellow. I had to file FMLA which needs to be filled out, my primary care as well as the Emergency doctors have requested the surgeons (Dr Navarro) cooperation, he has ignored all calls and requests. At this point I'm preparing to file a lawsuit for malpractice.
