Hospital Joya Marina

When my partner suffered a freak accident in November while we were visiting Puerto Vallarta — slipping on a set of stairs and breaking four ribs in seven places — we were suddenly faced with a very scary situation in a foreign country. Unsure of where to go, we asked our taxi driver to take us to the best hospital in the area, and he brought us to Hospital Joya. Looking back, we are incredibly grateful he did. We truly couldn’t be happier with the care my partner received. Every single person we encountered — from the doctors and surgeons to the nurses, office administrators, kitchen staff, and cleaning team — was exceptional. The level of professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail immediately put us at ease during what was otherwise a very stressful time. The hospital itself was extremely clean, well-organized, and welcoming. Being outside of our home country, we initially felt uncertain about what to expect, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and informed every step of the way. The medical care was superb, and the expertise of the surgeons, doctors, and nurses was evident throughout the entire experience. While this was certainly not the way we planned to end our trip, knowing my partner was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference. I would not hesitate to recommend Hospital Joya to anyone in need of high-quality medical care in Puerto Vallarta. We are deeply thankful for the outstanding team who took such great care of my partner.

I had a pretty bad fall and needed plastic surgery along with other services. Prompt service by ENT, Plastic Surgeon, and Anesthesiologist. Support staff were very professional and kind. Doctors and support staff did a great job in my opinion. Only thing that was a bit frustrating was that they kept asking me for multiple authorizations of my credit card despite the fact I had insurance. I guess it is what it is, but I would rather that not been such a focal point as I was wating for surgery. Regardless, this is a first class hospital.

I had facial surgery with Dr.Ramos and the entire experience from check in to release the following day was outstanding! I was always asked detailed questions by all nurses and doctors about how I was feeling, how was my pain and if I needed anything. To receive a menu with choices for meals was like having room service at a 5star hotel. Choices were as amazing as the food. I will highly recommend hospital Joya Helen Labelle

I had an urgent healthcare issue while visiting Puerto Vallarta and was treated at Hospital Joya Marina Vallarta. The hospital is modern, very well equipped and staffed and provides great, compassionate care. The hospital staff did a great job explaining the check in and billing process and set care expectations upon my arrival. The entire hospital staff from the administration to housekeeping was kind, compassionate, informative and very helpful. I did not experience anything but committed care while in the hospital. My doctor was well educated to provide me with the care that I needed and fully explained the medical process and expected outcomes from the procedure. My hospital room was very nice and clean and had a great smart TV, nice bathroom and comfortable hospital bed with room visitors. I had a great food selection and meals were very tasty and delivered on time. I was most impressed with the staff. Every single person I met was kind and caring. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left I was well taken care of. Having an urgent care hospital event while traveling can be stressful but the Joya team made the experience understandable and answered all the questions I had. I can highly recommend this facility for medical care and understand they operate sister hospitals in a few cities around Mexico.

Our stay at Hospital Joya was perfect. Everything exceeded our expectations on every level. The hospital staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind. The food is delicious, the rooms are private and quiet! We enjoyed hot showers and each room had state of the art temperature regulation and a working smart tv. The entire atmosphere felt more clean, genuine and safe than in the United States. None of the staff acted too stressed or hurried to answer our questions and we were very impressed with their dedication to speaking English to us. If I ever need a hospital again while I am in Mexico, I will definitely go to Joya in Puerto Vallarta!
