I had Gastric Sleeve surgery back in July of 2021. My nurse practitioner recommended Mexicali Bariatric Center to me since she had had her GSV done with them. This was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. The entire process was seamless and positive from getting cleared for the surgery to the send off back home. The doctor was was wonderful, Nina was a joy to work with and the entire staff treated us like royalty. I highly recommend Mexicali Bariatric Center to anyone considering bariatric surgery. You will not regret it.

I honestly feel like I had more consistent care here than I would have received in the US. The service was quick, near painless the entire time. Nina was in contact with me 24/7 before my appt date to make sure everything was squared away, I met everyone in the surgeon team, Dr Campos I was able to see more in a week than an American doctor in a year…over all excellent service. My only advice is that if you have prior medical conditions you manage it home, clarify this thoroughly- the bedside staff tend to not rounds as frequently as in the US. Best of luck if your decision takes you here!

I had my gastric sleeve 10/2010. It was a wonderful experience. So much better care than anything in the States. The entire team was there for each of us. We joked that all we needed was a massage and we would be at a spa. I had followup with the team after I went home. I have maintained my weight loss. I was the patient that was tap dancing 2 hours after surgery. The nerve block stopped the incredible pain in my back. That was a miracle bonus I was not expecting. It took 3 months for the nerve to regenerate. I have the pain, but being 100 pounds lighter, I can stay active.

I had a gastric sleeve done by Dr Aceves in 2008. The best thing I've ever done for myself! I'm an RN, and his surgical center is the most beautiful, clean hospital I've ever seen. That surgery changed my life.... To the gentleman who was upset his lady was 'lured' there- sometimes changes, even the most positive of changes, are difficult for partners to deal with.

The facility was very clean and the surgery went well without complications. I wish they provided better follow up support like other places in Mexico do. I was sleeved and lost 80lbs but gained most of it back within two years (mostly my own fault). My complaint is one of the coordinators, Nina. Nina has a very 'see through' fake friendliness to her. I found her to be quite rude. I recently saw a post in a facebook group by someone who said they were treated poorly by her. Being in such a vulnerable situation, I NEED to have someone that I feel comfortable with. I am getting a revision and as much as I liked the hospital, I will not be going back because of my experience with Nina.
