This is one of the most best-in-class and and highly admired hospitals, not only in Bulgaria, but in whole Eastern Europe and and even West Europe. Highly trained, competent and knowledgeable professors, surgeons and and doctors across a large decipline of health issues. You'll be defiantly in the best possible hands here.

The emergency room was good. Was seen by some very nice caring doctors and referred to the gastroenterology department where I stayed. After so many years with no diagnosis, Dr. Stoyanova got me one almost instantly with an ultrasound and some other tests. There are great caring doctors in Bulgaria, and I'm thankful for them! Bonus: they spoke English and took their time with my Bulgarian for the ones that didn't.

We visited the health clinic only. Bear in mind that military and ex military staff is prioritized. We came for Ears, nose, throat examination and we waiter for 4 hours. However there were patients who waited more than us. Dr. Georgieva, M.D. was very attentive and paid close attention to my mother. I am very grateful.

This place can easily be compared to a 3rd world hospital, or an apocalyptic bunker. The doctors are usually nice and most appear capable (the only good thing here), but the lower level staff are mean and unknowledgable. You will be yelled at for every little thing they can come up with. It's definitely a power trip for most. You can tell that the majority of nurses hate their job. They take revenge on the patients and their relatives. They make nice with the doctors but treat everyone else like cattle behind closed doors. Understaffed or underpaid, for lack of basic humanity there is no excuse. The rooms have no soap, no toilet paper, and not even a rail to hold onto, so you can't sit on the toilet after your back surgery or with a broken leg. You will have to poop standing up. The nurses will not help you. Most days menu includes bread, potatoes, rice, macaroni. No vegetables, no fruits, no protein, no drinking water. Tiny portions so you don't use the restroom too much. You will get sicker just being there. Nurses dont allow patients to leave the rooms, they can only walk around their bed. Is this a prision??? They dont provide any physical therapy after surgery, so good luck getting out of bed quickly unless you know how to do the work on your own. This place represents everything that is wrong with the country. All the talented doctors that work there could be so much more successful, if proper care is provided after their work is done. And that's a shame!

Dr. Petkova cabinet 224. Waited 2 hours in front of doc's cabinet. No system for entering whatsoever, you just wait to get your names called? So 1900s
