I had scar revision surgery done by Vijay Langer almost two years ago. I had a scar on my forehead, and Vijay Langer assured me that it would almost disappear and look much better. He said he doesn’t talk in percentages, but guaranteed that I would be fully satisfied with the result. A few days after the procedure, when I noticed that the scar was becoming darker, I immediately called Vijay Langer. He gave me the same explanation he gives all his patients — that the scar will look worse for some time and I should ignore it. But during the follow-up meeting, Vijay Langer himself asked me, ‘When did it start getting darker, and why didn’t you tell me?’ even though I had already informed him over the phone. He also did not let me speak in the meeting and kept pushing only his own point, completely ignoring what I was trying to explain. If Vijay Langer made me a promise and the result did not turn out good — which even he knows — then he should have operated again according to his commitment that the scar would improve and look better. It would not have cost him anything; he charges for his skills, and in my case the procedure would have taken barely 15 minutes. Yet he refused to take responsibility and also refused to operate again. Today, my scar looks separate, more visible, and worse than before. Based on my experience, I would strongly say — do not go to Vijay Langer for scar revision or any other treatment, because if someone cannot stand by their own word, how can you trust their expertise?
